Or him breaking up with Helene. Murder Mystery was fantastic as usual. Oscar trying to do a southern accent always slays me. I feel like S6 is arguably best version of Andy too and when he’s at his best.
I’m coming around on holly. I won’t say I like her, but I don’t dislike her as much as I used to. I’m getting soft in my advanced age.
Some of the subtler lines in this show and how they are delivered still blow my mind with their sneaky perfection. Diversity day Michael to Toby: "This is an environment of welcoming, and you should just get the hell out of here."
Didn’t see it. But recreating a scene from the office will always be funny. Sorry your coach didn’t think of it
After the office merger when they find out someones an ex con Micheal “I never hired a convict, except for Toby. Convicted rapist” lot a great lines in these episodes.
I'm so tired of the Black Eyed Peas. It's rock and roll for people who don't like rock and roll. It's rap for people who don't like rap. It's pop for people who don't like pop.
Can’t see the old cast being involved. So a reboot with a new cast combined with the overly PC style sitcoms have shifted towards means this will likely be as terrible as How I Met Your Father. Hard pass.
No, I think the show is entertaining and fun. I’m also a huge HIMYM fan, so the parallels between the two shows help.
i'm assuming they'll get a female "michael scott," piss off a ton of people in the process who don't realize that that's basically just what they did with amy poehler on parks and rec already.
that's what they initially tried to do with Parks & Rec but then they realized the show and that character were something much different.
Come on guys. Imagine a boomer Micheal Scott trying to navigate the complexities of a trans worker in his office! Hilarity! In fact, it's a well the writers could go back to week after week, it'll never get old
I still want the Ron Swanson with the National Park spinoff show. It may end up being shit but I still want to see how it goes.
props to parks and rec for satirizing the trump admin years before it ever happened but they never once explained why cameras were following them around
Doesn’t really make sense. Anything can be remade today. It’s how much of the humor it’s known for could be done today. And HIMYF is the perfect example. It can be made. But the humor is nothing like the original.
Agreed that everything can be remade. I'm talking about the idea that somehow the cancel culture boogeyman would never allow for such a show to happen when the show was never really that edgy and is still one of the most popular shows in existence.
I for one think the office could survive today without use of the word “retard” and the episode “gay witch hunt” but i am full of controversial takes so idk gbr
Could a modern version of the office survive? Sure. Would most of the first couple seasons of the original US office be allowed in 2023? No. the type of humor can be the same, but the subject material of the jokes is going to have to change in a very major way.
