Maybe he can go to the US to scout a player and do the classic "Yank in London" thing of looking the wrong way and stepping off the curb. Splat! Hilarious!
Jade rushes in to push Nate out of the way, Boom, hit by the same bus. Jack comes out of nowhere to try and save the day, Splat, hit by a second bus.
Scrubs, Dexter, The Office, Game of Thrones, etc have shown that bad attempts at getting more money taint the memory of the good times please stop, I beg you @apple cc: new apple owner @Lionel Messi
What was the bad attempy by GoT? They had to finish the OG show, they just did it poorly. HoD season 1 was awesome.
From that list 1.Scrubs 2. Dexter 3. The office post Michael (Florida Stanley alone makes it better than 1 and 2) 4. HoD
His GF ends up being a stud soccer player. He can’t be in a relationship with her bc of coach/player. She chooses soccer over him sending him off the deep end never to be heard from again.
The Scrubs extra season was bizarre and I don't think all that applicable to a continuation of Ted Lasso without Ted. I don't think a different version of Ted Lasso would be on par with the series, but it would still be closer to that than the Scrubs thing that made no sense out of nowhere after a perfect finish to the original series.
Coupe was already on the real last season of Scrubs before the other last season of Scrubs being discussed.
you are probably right, but I'll take another swing with some of my favorite characters on TV and hope for the best. If it flops, it flops. For every Scrubs, The Office, and Dexter, there is a Cobra Kai and House of Dragon
What is interesting about Roy coaching a mid table team? Or if they make them champs or even relegated again? It becomes super monotonous to keep showing more seasons of about the same thing. Now I could actually enjoy Roy trying to coach the women's team. That idea has a spark at least.
I don't think the team success really matters as to whether the show is good or not. It's about the journey and the people. It's the one thing this show got right compared to every other show based around a team. Whether they make them a struggling middling team or have them go on another miracle run in the champions league, if the story is good the team success doesn't matter.
No not trying to say the actual results matter at all, just saying we've gotten the full arc of this team. Another season makes the journey a little muddled and we've already seen the Lasso Way has changed every member of that team. No more hearts and minds to change. I think its a great stopping point for now. In a few years if they want to do a season of Ted running USMNT during the World Cup then yeah lets do it but Richmond is complete as I think it can be.
I think there's another season there they could potentially pull out of the characters that would still be good. I'm also not really sure what the motivation would be to spend all that money attempting to get that season when you know going in that everyone watching it is going to be looking for ways to crush it from the start. There's really no upside to continuing it.
Finally caught up. My biggest gripe of the season was keely pr firm which gave us Jack and Shandy. Total wastes of stories. After the finale I was jus thinking how perfect the PR firm scene was had they not done the entire season story. Just imagine that the season is wrapping up and for the first time they show that Keely advanced to start her own firm after Richmond finished 2nd. That would have been great!
I have this not serious theory that Pep only agreed to appear if they win the title. By that said when they announced the Premiere league partnership before S3 I expected a ton of player cameos. Was surprised there weren’t any.
Finished up season 3 tonight, like that they ended in 2nd. Beard’s plane exit strategy was amazing May be in the minority but I liked the Nate redemption arc for the most part. It did totally invalidate the actors nonsense statement after season 2 though. It wasn’t microagressions that made you a prick, it was just success going to your head and then coming under the wing of a world class arsehole. Higgins is one of the most lovable characters in recent tv memory. His gag reflex around dishonesty is so endearing. Rebecca bossing the little boy billionaires and appealing to the passion of the game was a good moment. And I hope she and the Dutchman are happy together Jack sucked, wasted Keely for the most part.
I was definitely ok with the nate redemption arc. Especially when you factor in Ted's belief in 2nd chances for people.
