Sure. But my annoyance is that their growth started a long time ago on the show, and they reverted back to that kind of behavior (both with each and Keeley) out of nowhere for the sake of a laugh instead of dealing with something they've been building to all season. And if this was just another episode, I'd probably laugh and be whatever about it. But it was apparently the series finale, which makes it different.
I get that. But vagina is a hell of a drug. Knowing that, I guess that’s why I didn’t have as much of an issue with it.
Forgot about Silo. I read the book series but my wife never had and is obsessed with it. Apple is a quality streaming service. I’d say Max, Disney+ and Apple TV are the best ones.
Hulu is pretty damn stacked with content since they have all FX rights. Considering you can bundle it with Disney+ I’d say they probably win.
Max has the best original content and they get all the WB/DC stuff. Disney/Hulu is gonna be legit. We use my SIL account for Hulu now with commercials and they’re just so much louder than the shows. Probably bundle it up once they merge into one with no commercials. Apple has really good original content.
I thought the finale did a good job of tying up the storylines and letting us say our goodbyes to the characters. It was always a goofy show that focused on comedy and feels over realism. To that end, I thought the finale was a solid 9 out of 10. I took away a point because my air conditioner must have been blowing dust in my eyes throughout, because I had trouble seeing the screen at times.
My air conditioner also affected my vision…despite not being on, or having one. Congress really needs to do something about these faulty products.
I am so glad I didn't watch it with my wife. I absolutely hate when I cry during movies and TV shows and I have to fight it.
Thought the 2nd half of the season was really good but finale was just okay Dump going this hard about it is a good tip off that it was mediocre
I legit thought the ending to the love triangle couldn't have been more perfect. Progress isn't always linear and the love of women often make men act like assholes despite their growth.
there were a few things I'd quibble with, most have been mentioned, but it was overall good. B+ ending and that's all I hope for in a show that makes you as invested as we all have been. mostly just a little *too* kitschy, but I laughed and I cried and I got a resolution to pretty much every storyline.
I think my favorite part of the finale was the tribute to Coach and Cheers. That caught me by surprise but I loved the connection. A neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name
I really don’t understand why we didn’t get a Ted telling the team scene. Or a Nate coming back scene. That was just baffling to me. I liked but didn’t love the finale. I liked but didn’t love all of season 3 but there were certainly episodes I loved. Assuming that’s it, I’m happy with where they left off. and I’m with whoever said the beard wedding was a dream. I’m guessing other stuff was as well as they moved into the future, but Ted waking up right after the wedding scene seemed to hint that it was not real
Like we had another beautiful Julie Andrews tribute in So Long Farewell and the pregame video montage People just want things spelled out for them basically
Saved episode 11 to watch before the finale and just finished. Loved that episode. “Thank you, fuck you” was amazing.
Pretty obvious that the entire series was just a bad trip. Reference the Michael Pollan book Ted is reading on the flight home.
Team final sequence is a dream. Henry was wearing Tartt’s number. scenes with Rebecca hit extra hard after hearing her talk about how Jason/this show have changed her life. That was about all I could have asked for from the finale.
Hadn’t connected until today that Rebecca’s mom is also Logan Roy’s ex (the mother of the three). Pretty sweet gig being on two great shows wrapping up in the same week.
So many posts and not one of them hyping Roy as manager and that they didn’t give it to that fuckhead Nate
I mean we all knew that was coming from him doing most of the pressers throughout the season plus Beard is a sidekick and Nate wouldn’t accept it anyways
Still: The Michael J Fox documentary is getting stellar reviews and will be one of the best docs of the year
As someone currently in Europe it really did hit home when Ted said that Air Conditioning is a privilege, not a right
There were parts I disliked, parts I thought were unrealistic or silly even by the show's standard but I still loved how it ended. Great show. Succession, Barry, and Ted Lasso all ending within 7 days and there is now a writer strike means we are doomed but at least I can catch up on shows people recc'd me for a long time
I kind of wish they just would have let afc win the league. loves the scene where Jamie was with his dad. I laughed uncontrollably hard at tend not freaking out and telling everyone it was offsides. I think they set up two spin-offs. 1. Roy and the boys take over the team. 2. Starting the women’s team. I’d be good with both not happening.
I got a bit confused by everyone celebrating on the pitch at the final whistle when surely they would have known the score in the Man City game.
