A lot of similarities in the most recent episode to 8x2 of GOT. Hopefully the next episode doesn't take us down the 8x3-8x6 path of awfulness.
So Carol and Negan had this planned the entire time? I figured Negan was going to sabotage the walkers somehow didn't know Carol would be involved. What was the deal with Beta and that guy recognized him?
Was not expecting it to be something planned between Negan and Carrol. Nice swerve from the comic there.
Frowny McTwoKnives! If I remember correctly that is taken from the comic. It never explicitly explains it but Beta was apparently someone famous before the zombie apocalypse and is hiding that from everyone.
As DuckD said, he's famous and in the comic it wasn't explicitly explained how but apparently, and I don't think we're going to get a blunt explanation on the show, on the show he's a famous country musician. In Fear The Walking Dead there was a cover of one of his albums with him on it and then earlier this season Magna was listening to one of his records on the record player at Hilltop. So, just like the comic, he's a famous person and they decided to make some Easter egg stuff to put together who he is.
The Walking Dead will be delaying its Season 10 finale in light of current events. The episode was originally scheduled to air on the second Sunday in April but will be held back and aired as a special event on AMC later this year.
I don’t understand, I mean motherfuckers are at home, so ratings should be better than normal. Oh wait, they’re just failing to realize their product is now shit.
Has nothing to do with ratings or thinking their product is bad. They can't complete post-production on the finale because of restrictions in place for COVID-19.
This show is maybe the worst thing on tv, but I've felt pot committed on finishing for the last couple of years. I am so excited for this sweet release
Wife and I have watched since the beginning but we got sidetracked after season 8. We recorded them all and finally watched season 9-10 over the last few weeks. I’d say most episodes have been a definite improvement over the lame seasons. Still a lot of “why the fuck didn’t you” moments
The Walking Dead movie marking Andrew Lincoln's return as Rick Grimes is similar to Hugh Jackman's X-Men swan song Logan, says screenwriter Scott Gimple, who is developing the franchise's first feature film to be inviting to incoming audiences and longtime Walking Dead viewers alike.
October for the season 10 finale, and the article I saw said 6 more episodes as an extension of “season 10” since everything would be so delayed from the shutdown. Those 6 episodes would not be in October though;the writers have just started working on them.
Yep, and season 11 has been effectively postponed to 2021. I would assume premiering around the same time as the seasons normally premiere in October.
This was actually put out a few days ago but not posted here. Opening scene from the season 10 finale.
So they’re really going to blaze thru the post Whisperer’s comic arc then. Or at least relative to how long they have dragged out other arcs.
Well last season is going to be 24 episodes so they won’t be blazing thru it then. A Daryl and Carol spin off sounds bad though.
Just watched and thought it was pretty damn good. It was shorter than I think they wanted due to pandemic stuff and certain things were maybe a bit rushed but I liked it. Kinda funny, I was about halfway through the episode and thinking to myself, "this has been pretty solid. Let's see how the last half goes." Then fucking "Burning Down the House" by The Talking Heads starts playing from the wagon and everything was just exponentially better.
I just started trying to catch up on this. Are remarks supposed to be in spoilers for season 8 or are yall well past that.
The finale for season 10 just aired (was supposed to air in the spring, delayed because of COVID). Season 8 is... bad. But a new showrunner takes over for season 9 and things get better.
Yeah. I think there are going to be something like 6 episodes that are supposed to count as being "between" seasons 10 and 11 then season 11 is going to be more episodes than usual and also the final season. Something like that.
She's basically always been one of my least favorites. Never liked her or how they forced a thing between her and Daryl
I honestly can't remember. Where are you in season 9? I want to say it stemmed from the communities just overall becoming more paranoid and isolationist after someone did something (being vague here since I don't know where you are in the show).
