The cancellation of KotH for the Cleveland show was a travesty. However, I have come to grips with the loss of KotH because it gave Mike Judge time to come up with Silicon Valley also Jean Ralphio for best minor character. Only bad character in that entire show was Mark Brendanawicz
I know it's not that good, but I'm a Friends fan. We only had one tv in our house and my mom and sisters loved it. So I grew up on it. Me and my gf put it on Netflix when we can't think of anything better and just want mindless entertainment. Monica is the worst character on that show and it's not close. If it was on today, it wouldn't hold a candle to P&R, 30 Rock, Silicon Valley, Veep, etc.
Think I only saw one mention of it but Happy Endings was amazing. Really wish Hulu or Netflix would have revived it, think it could have done much better there than it did on cable.
This probably belongs in the unpopular opinions thread, but I hate Seinfeld. All of my friends love it and I have given it numerous tries. Maybe I don't like it because I did not watch it when it aired originally. I personally think I don't like it because the comedy style is not dark. I have seen no less than 20 episodes and it does not remotely compare to It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, The Office, or Archer (if we allow cartoons). This could be the post that turns all of TMB against me, but I just don't get the appeal of Seinfeld. To be fair, hearing my friends talk about the show is almost always entertaining, but the show itself does nothing for me. Also probably should be said, but I am not a huge sitcom fan and don't really like TV. Shows that I typically like are usually vulgar. Maybe Seinfeld just isn't for me. Then again, I love The Office, but I started watching when it was airing. EDIT: After reading all of the thread, The Simpsons and South Park should both be on the best list. I liked season 1 of Kimmy Schmidt and couldn't finish season 2. I finished HIMYM and there is no way I could watch it again. If I hadn't started watching it with friends in college, I would hate it. It went from entertaining to idiotic. I love the CharDee MacDennis episodes in Sunny.
I don't remember that. though I didn't rewatch any of the first 2 seasons. I just remember them flirting but not actually dating
An amazingly underrated part of 30 Rock is the myriad of characters Rachel Dratch plays. The animal trainer lady is the best.
Late to this thread but on Parks minor characters I agree with all mentioned and would add Shauna Malwae Tweep for her long suffering and memoir called "Tweeping Up Appearances: My Journey to Find Happiness While Smiling Through the Pain."
When I first heard Ben was getting married, I said "to whom, Leslie or Game. Of. Thrones?" Damn girl. You mad sweet on that back meat.
I hate this thread. Every time I see a new post I get so excited hoping someone has posted a link to a Variety article saying the show will return or a spinoff, and I get so disappointed.
The dundies then sexual harassment may be my favorite back to back stretch of episodes. When Todd packer gives Michael the nod to give a that's what she said joke when he's in hot water I lose it every time. Then you've got office Olympics, the fire, and the fight episode soon after leading up to casino night... Great season
I never got around to watching the last three seasons. Not sure if I should because I know it goes downhill and I don't want it to be tarnished. Maybe I'll start to watch them this weekend.
it's nowhere near the quality of the first 3 but there are still some good episodes in there and the finale is an absolute home run.
Currently on season 6 of my first viewing. Very happy with it so far. Fucking sbarro New York pizza scene had me in tears
Such a cruel thread to bump. Jealous of those of you who are getting to go through Seasons 1-7 for the first time. 2-4 is probably the peak, but 1, 5, 6, and 7 (which I think is underrated) have some hilarious episodes.
