I'm trying to wrap my brain around this budget and its various facets: education, crime, transportation, public assistance etc. It's going to be an absolute disaster for cities and the inner suburbs.
Seriously. The article is bullshit. 3 random "officials" with one quote that references a military standard. One article with a headline that is discussed in two short paragraphs followed by a rehash of a bunch of other articles. Its a bullshit, clickbait article with a sensational headline.
I actually won the trial because i happened to retain a bird law expert witness that proved my chicken costume was of a different species than these two.
ding ding ding notice he doesn't respond to this. has to be rough to read your psych profile on the internet.
link to government official using a private server to conduct classified government correspondence and getting away with it because of intent and precedence?
the left/right divide on urban planning concepts is sort of a microcosm for the more overarching partisan divides. Here's another point:
That's exactly what he said. Typically people who engage in that behavior face administrative or security sanctions. Not criminal ones. They don't typically end up in court either, in his estimation. You are right about one thing, you would probably lose your job. Unless perhaps you were in an appointed cabinet position. Those jobs are a bit different, and probably afford the people that hold them some privileges that others wouldn't get. But we don't really know either, because she had long been resigned by the time this broke.
administrative or security sanctions? like a possible promotion? Jobs that are different and affford privileges that others wouldn't get? Do you mean like something along the lines of the president?
imo from 2018 on will be the most liberal/progressive stretch in modern history so I'm willing to bet those next 6-8 years will see a lot of sweeping changes
todd and rules definitely overlap into the dumbfuck category but i am just nitpicking. damn fine breakdown
if you dont have all of the elements, you have nothing. It's literally the first thing the defense attorney will go over in jury selection. There's about a billion different metaphors in use for conveying this to a jury full of dipshit trump voters who usually furrow their brows in a vain attempt to understand.
Yeah, they make dumbfuck arguments, but their core reason for voting for Trump is that they're assholes.
Where did she get promoted? Being elected President isn't being promoted from Secretary of State. It's something else entirely. If people thought she was unfit for office because of this email scandal, that's one thing. But when you claim that you wouldn't vote for her because of the emails, and then turn around and vote for someone even more unfit in every way imaginable, then your original argument holds no water. Which is what everyone has been telling you from the jump. So you've now argued yourself in a circle ( which is what happens with terrible arguments), and should really take this opportunity to bow out. And yes, the office of the President does afford one many privileges that others wouldn't get. I don't think that anybody is arguing that it doesn't.
Trump is conservatism. He was during the election and he is now. This genie aint going back in the lamp
Trump is not only trying to deceive others. His falsehoods are attempts to build a world in which he can feel good for an instant and comfortably deceive himself. He is thus the all-time record-holder of the Dunning-Kruger effect, the phenomenon in which the incompetent person is too incompetent to understand his own incompetence. Trump thought he’d be celebrated for firing James Comey. He thought his press coverage would grow wildly positive once he won the nomination. He is perpetually surprised because reality does not comport with his fantasies. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/15/opinion/trump-classified-data.html?_r=1
In the context of criminal charges, yes, it can be. I can run you over and kill you and get charged with first degree murder or with nothing. Depends on my intent
This is going to get a lot of play over the next few weeks. People should read the whole article. Basically looks like a successful part of Russia's efforts to undermine the election. Makes Comey look questionable, but we already knew he fucked up last year. Repubs are going to try to use this to justify Trump firing Comey. But, they are separate issues. And Trump has already gone on record about the Russia investigation being the reason. And he's on record WRT to obstructing justice. But watch Fox and Repubs go to town with this.
is this seriously news to you? It's why someone who kills someone else in a car accident doesn't get charged with murder, even if they were negligent. It's why attempted murder contains way higher penalties than involuntary manslaughter.
He's essentially a cult leader. Most of the historical leaders who ride populist waves into dictatorships are. And most cult leaders are way dumber than we usually portray them to be. I think our system is too strong to allow the dictatorship part to happen though thank god.
Trump seems to really like them. His campaign has met or talked with them a lot over the last 2 years, while they were meddling in our election.
wasn't mike pence using a private server/email address to conduct gubernatorial business while he was the governor of indiana?
Even if you were extremely reckless? I don't think so. You would get charged with something, probably a felony.
