this wouldnt surprise me, SB police seem like they like fucking ND over so much they must be married to horses
They really don't. I'm biased but I've also heard so many stories where police could Fuck with a football player, but take him home/tell him to go home. Most sbpd are huge ND fans
maybe im confusing them with another thing like reslife or indiana state police or whatever many levels of law enforcement are available
How can they get video of lochte at a gas station in Brazil but there isn't a camera outside the backer or a camera phone to prove it.
Yeah, my guess is that's why they were not overly interested in drunken statements. Let the video speak and then sort it out. If the above is true, charges will drop and he'll move on.
No way all these charges stick. 5 guys all charged with possession? 3 charged for one weapon? Not dismissing their poor decision making by any means - which they will all pay a football price for, but can't see all of this sticking.
@TriciaHarteWNDU: UPDATE: Devin Butler shoved a woman outside of the Linebacker, police say he starting punching an officer who tried to get him to back away. Sounds like that ND nation post was accurate to a point. Police showed up, see him pushing a woman, grab him to get him to back off, he's drunk and amped and punches the cop and takes the cops hand and bends the fuck out of their finger and wrist. They don't take kindly to that, and things escalate. Hopefully we can all agree there wasn't much too it and move on.
Also one of the few guys my friend who tends to hang out with those guys had a somewhat negative opinion of.
I would second this and I hope they weren't just messing with him because he was an ND student, or because he's a ball player. I don't doubt that NDNation post that said Butler tried to intervene to protect two girls who were fighting. I also believe that a group of witnesses were willing to tell the true story to the police to help defend Butler. Unfortunately the cop wading into a fight at a bar isn't interested in justice, he's interested in stopping the fight. Quietly and respectfully comply with his orders and he will sort out the stories after everyone is safe. If you resist his orders after he sees you involved in a fight, even if you're just trying to explain the situation, you're going to be in trouble. I think we've all seen the smart ass cop who says or does things to provoke you in these situations (especially SBPD.) You have to be smart enough not to take the bait. If the cops truly left and took Butler to the police station without interviewing all the witnesses, its a good bet that Butler did something that made the origins of the girl fight a moot point (like hit a cop.)
He did. He punched the cop as they were trying to pull him back and then somehow bent the shit out of the cops finger and wrist.
@TriciaHarteWNDU: BREAKING: Devin Buter, Notre Dame cornerback, formally charged with Resisting Law Enforcement (injury) and Battery to a Police Officer.
So with the one gun, 3 charged: sounds like if the gun is in the back seat with those 3 guys, if it's reasonably within reach of all three (say, on the seat on down on the ground), the cops default to charging all three with possession.
I have zero doubt that this is all Redfield's fault. Probably put the gun and weed on the floor and refused to take responsibility for any of it.
@ESPNCFB 4h4 hours ago Redshirt junior Max Browne has been named USC's starting QB. The Trojans open the season against Alabama on Sept 3.
Hahaha number 2?what the Fuck? @PeteSampson_: If you’re curious, the highs and lows of Notre Dame’s preseason AP Poll ranking are No. 2 and No. 16. Quite a spread.
On the basis of my review, I have decided to dismiss Max Redfield from our football team and place Devin Butler on indefinite suspension. The other individuals, while not being separated from the team, will be subject to disciplinary measures internal to the football program.
15 days ago @PeteSampson_: “Never played as fast as I’m playing now, never known as much as I do now. I think this is gonna be the best year of my life.” -Max Redfield
this is what i was thinking as well. Max might as well claim he was the sole person responsible at this point. No reason to have guys go down with him right?
redfield had to go, what a fucking dumbass. No wonder usc sucks, these Cali kids are fucking retarded
I may be reading too much into that "internal to the football program" line, but it sounds like Kellys will be handling their punishments.
He is a fucking senior and hanging out with a bunch of young guys and doing stupid shit, it's a good thing he is out of this team
