That or they could virtually remove mike from the show for a few seasons and focus on Harvey/Jessica/Louis trying to fix the firm
This is my guess I seriously doubt it. It's not how hollywood works. The actor that plays mike could go do other shit and potentially not get him back.
Unfortunately for Mike, his photographic memory wont allow him to forget each dick he is forced to suck.
consultant is the only law related thing i can think of he could do with a felony conviction. i guess he could do something totally unrelated to law but that would be a weird direction for the show
Season 6 will focus on Mike being in jail, trying to get out. Eventually, the verdict will get overturned somehow.
Really terrible episode, but the ending was good. I was going to be so pissed if Mike got out of it, and I'll be damned if they didn't STILL make Rachel's entire character arc about the stupid wedding. My wife and I busted out laughing when they cut to her with yet another huge glass of wine in her nightie with the candles lit, when her fiance is about to go to prison. The writers have made her so one dimensional she's almost zero dimensional at this point. Prison will be good for Mike's hair. Time for a buzz, son.
So accurate. Husband about to go to jail in three days..."I need to take one day for myself" As much I loved her ass early on and looked forward to seeing it more frequently, they've made her into a whining, narcissistic bitch. Maybe she'll get killed off.
this season has just been awful. the audience knows he's not a lawyer, his firm knows he's not a lawyer, and they built a whole season around a trial where we might expect they prove mike is a lawyer? i have been ready for this shit to be over. glad he is in prison so we no longer have to deal with that storyline.
Welcome to the overall plot line of the entire series. I'm not even sure why you're watching if it gets under your skin so badly?
the overall plot line (other than "interesting" legal cases, firm dynamics, and love interests) was mike ross pretends to be lawyer. those at his firm do what they can to make sure no one finds out. the difference is now the US attorney found out. and filed criminal charges. meaning she had proof he wasn't a lawyer. and we were expected to think that he had a shot of proving he IS a lawyer. that is laughable.
What the fuck are you talking about. For all intents and purposes he was a lawyer. You can't use that the audience knew he wasn't as a reason they had no shot to prove he was one. As a viewer you have to suspend your disbelief. Like the foreman stated they didn't prove he wasn't.
Probably the thing that bothers me most about this show is the pilot. Mike Ross is getting paid 25K to deliver a suitcase full of weed that is likely worth a fraction of that. I was completely unable to suspend disbelief after that. And I've watched all five seasons.
Considering re-starting this show (never really watched past season 3 anyways). Should I follow through with the re-watch or go ahead and bail?
the show has struggled a bit lately but i still enjoy it. so its not a waste of your time, but the later seasons could have been better.
I'm an idiot. I read your post to say, "Fast forward through all Rachel seasons." Basically that you were advising me to skip the seasons that were focused on the Mike and Rachel relationship.
Haha, right on. Oh, and feel free to pause your fast forwarding for the one scene where Mike throws Rachel up against the file cabinets. That one is acceptable viewing.
Sadly I have been lured away by the Game of Thrones crowd but I will be getting back to this soon. Still Team Donna, then Team Scottie, then maybe Team Rachel. Any others I should know about?
Im on Team I watch it all and cant bring myself to stop no matter what. there are only a few instances where I actually quit a show, I am overly optimistic that any show which used to be good can return to form. I hate watched True Blood, Entourage, and 24 and only the 12 hour 24 was one I stopped watching mid season.
It's gotta be really awful for me to quit once I get into it some, like Tyrant level bad. I don't enjoy Suits much but I'm in it for the long haul, can't imagine it will last that much longer.
what season is Tyrant on? I watched S1 when it originally aired and thought it was half decent, but I was unaware of when S2 started and did not mind very much.
I cant buy in on the "Mike being in jail is an injustice!", they all committed fraud for years. They are fortunate that Mike is the only one in prison. and the peace pipe scene was out of nowhere and forced. they are in their worst situation ever, so lets have Louis get Norma's ashes on his face then talk about jizzing in a mud bath.
Mike's this smart as hell, quick thinker yet he can't figure out some dude in prison is playing him? Come the fuck on.
Well guys, it's been a fun ride. But this is my stop; I'm pulling the cord. Canceled the DVR recording. Start the clock for Halt and Catch Fire.
Mike fell for the old prison inmate photoshops head from cell phone picture onto a nude body and then prints a full color copy for the entire prison gag. Classic.
that "Im black in here" line was one of the most groan inducing lines Ive ever heard on TV. it honestly feels like the writers are in denial of everything going on. filling the office with extras?
Yeah the whole "making nice with everyone" ending made me roll my fucking eyes. Heartless people growing hearts. Maybe Mike dies in a prison revolt.
