Just finished Ep 4. Spoiler Hope that isn't the last of punisher this season. Loved his character and that graveyard scene was intense.
Spoiler i'm at the same point, but no way is that the last of him. that would be some awful television if you don't use the best character on your show for 3/4 of the season
Episode 5 or 6.... Spoiler So the most publicized multiple count murder trial in modern history will take place like a week after arraignment?
Kind of like Jessica Jones, felt like a few episodes too many. Agree with those points as well, plus this one. Spoiler If Elektra was so important to the Hand, why did they almost slice her in half? If not for Stick then she dies. I guess death isn't all that big of a deal to them with their methods, but still that seemed odd. Felt like her being Black Sky was kind of lazy, but then again I don't know if that is really how it plays out in the comics or not.
Just finished the season Everything Punisher was awesome. Spoiler so the colonel was the blacksmith? They never outright said it unless I missed something.
And one of my favorite parts was Spoiler DD making the sign of the cross before agreeing to let Punisher do things his way
I thought it was pretty decent ... Spoiler Fight scenes were top notch, episode 3 with the chain and the prison hallway were both amazing. Didn't mind Elektra, but the Blacksmith reveal was a giant letdown. They had a really good actor there to work with too, would have liked to see more with him and a lot less with the Black Hand. ((Clancy Brown as Brother Justin in Carnivale still one of my favorite antogonists)) Besides that, not a ton of complaints. Punisher was great and definitely deserves his own spin off eventually. Foggy annoys me to no end. Jessica is still hot, sorry too many seasons of terrible True Blood, but her character arc is hilarious. From law secretary to hired as the heir to a lifelong world-famous journalist, ok then. Nice appearances setting up Defenders, Overall, I give it 4 Stardusts out of 5.
Spoiler I thought at the time they didn't know she was black sky. the whole thing was confusing though. still loved the season.
Just watched S2E1. Foggy and Karen do the dumbest shit. Spoiler "Hey I'm Foggy let me show up at the biker gang hideout with my messenger bag, what could possibly go wrong. Wait, the guy somehow not decided at the last second not to stick a knife in my throat? Oh let me keep talking instead of leave."
Spoiler I could really do without so much of Foggy going forward. Unfortunately we can presume he'll be present in the second season of Jessica Jones.
I like the show, not here just to complain about it. However, do have another gripe Spoiler I guess we have completely dispensed with the notion that Murdock is blind/suffers any downside from it whatsoever. Oh, he is a fantastic pool player? He can walk in the meat warehouse and detect the fact that are human bodies hanging on the hooks around him without touching anything? To watch this show you have to just forget about him being blind except when a joke is being made. And also you have to think people can get the absolute fuck beaten out of them with fists/kicks/metal pipes and be fine/not die/not have permanent brain damage.
Spoiler That is definitely a fair complaint. I thought for some reason in the comics that they established he can see in sonar like a bat, but I may be thinking of the shitty Ben Affleck movie. I know they tried playing up the moral high ground he takes over Punisher, but the long term damage the severe beatings he gives are probably worse than if he just killed the person.
P sure last season he explains he sees energy and shit around him. He "sees" but everything looks like it's on fire or some shit
Season was wonderful. Good writing and editing. Jon Bernthal was perfect. Gripes? Ending was predictable but great still. I love how everything is coming together
Great season, even though the whole hand storyline wasn't too inspiring/interesting to me. Still great though. Spoiler Would have preferred if the punisher was involved more in the end fight, etc. Perfect punisher though. Sucks it will essentially be another year before new season. Thats the only sucky part about the Netflix all episodes at once thing.
I want the entire Elektra/Matt relationship as a 22 episode romantic comedy season I love them granted Im on episode 5 But they are adorable
Between the punisher and the hand and Matt going full time daredevil, that season was fucking amazing to me. I couldn't get enough ninja fighting. Only huge question I had was Spoiler What the fuck was that giant hole? Was it some sort of incubator for their blood capsule thing that brought people back to life? In the first fight with Nobu he did push it on an elevator, so that's all the context I got. It just seems like they went through a lot of trouble to set that up with the ledger, the encryption, the dirt on the train tracks, all just to never really address this 40 story hole in the middle of NYC.
I just finished this last weekend. Fan-fucking-tastic. Loved the whole thing. kennypowers , I was going to post almost the same thing as far as the question you are asking. Bernthal was perfect as The Punisher.
Daredevil is the worst character in his own show. They should kill off daredevil and turn this into Punisher.
I meant it's a tie between Karen and Foggy. I'm just kinda irked that they literally turned Elektra into an object.
Was enough Fisk to wet our beaks, and goddam his scenes with Castle and Matt were intense and awesome. D'Onofrio is just amazing in the role and a shame he wasn't nominated for best supporting actor for season 1.
