in general, because black twitter is pretty incredulous about Jada's treatment of Will over the years and their relationship is always big pop culture news
It's crazy to stay with someone like this. He's got tons of money, which she'll get some of. Cut her a check and get the hell out.
This was a pretty impressive bullet dodging as well. 1993 shooting in Atlanta On October 31, 1993, Shakur was arrested in Atlanta for shooting two off-duty police officers, brothers Mark Whitwell and Scott Whitwell.[159] The Atlanta police claimed the shooting occurred after the brothers were almost struck by a car carrying Shakur while they were crossing the street with their wives.[160] As they argued with the driver, Shakur's car pulled up and he shot the Whitwells in the buttocks and the abdomen.[161][162] However, there are conflicting accounts that the Whitwells were harassing a black motorist and uttered racial slurs.[161][160] According to some witnesses, Shakur and his entourage had fired in self-defense as Mark Whitwell shot at them first.[148] Shakur was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.[159] Mark Whitwell was charged with firing at Shakur's car and later with making false statements to investigators. Scott Whitwell admitted to possessing a gun he had taken from a Henry County police evidence room.[161] Prosecutors ultimately dropped all charges against both parties.[162] Mark Whitwell resigned from the force seven months after the shooting.[148] Both brothers filed civil suits against Shakur; Mark Whitwell's suit was settled out of court, while Scott Whitwell's $2 million lawsuit resulted in a default judgment entered against the rapper's estate in 1998.[162]
started reading the bold like it was a humorous hypothetical you were exploring but then holy fuck, this actually happened?
Yep.... I mean she was like 12 but still. https://www.newsweek.com/willow-smith-letter-tupac-shakur-make-jada-pinkett-smith-happy-1695081
At least she hasn't slept with any of her daughter's friends yet (that we know about). Can't say the same about her son.
The more headlines I see about Jada, the more I'm beginning to believe that she is an awful, emotionally abusive person.
Not sure I believe this. He was only on Rikers from February to March of 95 then he was transferred to Clinton Correctional Facility. He married his gf Keisha Morris in April of 95. It was annulled early in 96. I mean I guess he could have asked Jada to marry him in February and then married his gf in April but seems to me more like Jada wanting to sell a book.
It’s pretty hilarious that a guy famously having “Thug Life” tattooed across his abdomen went to the Baltimore School for the Arts and studied ballet and shit.
I’m sure it was profound. He was obviously a very intelligent and creative guy. It’s still an objectively hilarious juxtaposition.
Agree the whole gangster role he took on late in his life doesn't match the rest of his life. People remember him as Death Row Tupac but that was like 8 months of his life. He got way too wrapped up with the gangsters that were around all the time. I choose to remember him as Me Against the World Pac.
I’ll always remember him for his dance number in Nothing but Trouble. But in all seriousness, it’s kind of difficult to appreciate how quickly his demise happened without actually looking at the dates.
I wonder what the prep is for people who go on that podcast knowing that they can make up the wildest stuff if they want and not get checked on any of it.
October 12th 1995 - Bonded out of prison September 13th 1996 - Dead So I guess it was 10 months. And he went from social justice warrior to super gangster in those 10 months. It recently came out that Warren G was going to bail him out with no conditions, just as a friend, but Suge beat him to it. Fuck Suge.
I have close groups of friends I share shit with, I turn to those people for advice and help. I generally don’t trust people who want you to know every single detail of their life and seem to get off on it by telling everybody, even if some didn’t ask about it. She seems to revel in the misery her words cause. As others have said, emotional & verbally abusive.
Yes, one of the leaders. That's where his social justice awareness came from. He was very very close to Afeni. I highly highly highly suggest watching this. It explains so much about him. It's as much about her as it is him. https://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/dear-mama
This was all before my time and I don’t really listen to rap. So hearing that was news to me. Sorry for being uniformed about Tupac’s mothers affiliations.
Now pull up all the Hollywood shitheads that made excuses for Will because he was defending his wife.
