Anyone watch it yet? It amazes me they had custody of Francis. Him and Courtney are both obviously high as shit in most of the home movies.
I read other information suggesting that his stomach pain played a much greater role in his use of heroin and it was more to mask that pain than anything else. The documentary made it appear he was just more of a junkie.
his stomach pain stuff always struck me as psychosomatic, anyway. He probably had something going on, whether it be chronic reflux or gastritis exacerbated by touring/eating and drinking like shit or just stress related, but he had it amplified for whatever reason. It was an excuse to use dope. Hell, Love even said that during that six month break he just wanted to stay in the apartment, use heroin, and paint. That's not his stomach hurting for 6 months requiring him to use heroin to dull the pain, that's just a junkie living the dream life because he has the money to do so. There's supposed to be a soundtrack released in the next few months that includes a lot of the unheard home recorded stuff that I'm really looking forward to hearing. It's kinda the holy grail of Cobain/Nirvana material, the last we'll ever get.
This is an interesting read. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/02/m...ram&kwp_0=12841&kwp_4=89410&kwp_1=132209&_r=2
How about the part where he wants to rape the retarded girl and cant go through with it because her vag smells so bad?
Lookatme-near miss here, but I almost wound up going through Kurt's material way back when the Nirvana box set was being sorted out. I knew Courtney a little bit online, and I was pretty tight with someone in her inner circle out in LA. I became tight with this person right after the shit had already been pulled together. This person was part of that process, and I would have been out there in Courtney's house digging through those tapes if we'd met sooner. Would have been fascinating. Nirvana will always be my favorite band. Shit still hurts.
