Do you have a task manager? See if there are any rogue apps sucking all of that stuff up. Also what do you have running? wifi? 3g/4g? screen brightness? etc?
No WiFi, brightness is a little below 50%, 3g only. No intensive apps. I just got this 1900mah battery so I'm hoping I just have to cycle it a few times.
and I'm using that same battery and I'm on 96% after 1 hr of being off the charger and moderate usage.
Not sure, it was only $18 so I'm not sweating it too much. I'm going to use the Netflix app and let the battery drain entirely then charge it back up and see if that makes a difference. Netflix app still owns my heart.
If it's the battery data you will have to do more than that iirc but I doubt it. Like when you switch custom roms sometimes the battery data can get messed up and it'll run out extremely fast. I think the problem is your actual battery but it couldn't hurt to try.
yeah the gingerbread update broke it, i would expect it to be fixed soon. another way to drain the battery is to turn on the camera/video camera or play media files (including youtube). max brighness/no timeout. all radios on
http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/htc-evo3d-for-40-at-target-2011066/ Evo 3D for $40 w/tradein at Target. 6/24 is sale date
Sales of the Evo 3D for Sprint Premier customers begins June 21, three days before it's available to other customers.
Of course my phone would shit the bed 2.5 weeks before the new Evo comes out so now I have to figure out a way to wait that long without a phone.
Go upgrade to something and return it within thirty days. $35 restocking fee though. Do this at a corporate store.
I think I still have a shitty Samsung phone that they gave me for free as a backup phone. I'll probably just use that for a few weeks. It's gonna suck though. I put my Evo in rice on the off chance that there was a moisture issue that caused the screen to fuck up so god willing I'll wake up tomorrow and it will work again.
An FYI for Evo Users. Stay on Wifi as often as possible. The Wifi radio uses almost to sometimes better than half of the regular cell radio. Whenever i can get on a wifi connection, i do. I work from home some days (a lot more often lately) and i pulled it off the charger this morning. I am about 84% and its been on the wifi connection all day. With my extended battery i can go 8 hours on a wifi with moderate use (some texts and a little browsing of TMB) and i will only lose about 20%. If i am off wifi, i would have the battery be in the 20% range without charging it.
Also for the rooted users, they released new radios a few days ago. You can find them on XDA. The updated PRL and Radios supposedly improve reception and give you better battery life since you have better reception. Some are claiming increases in 4g speeds as well. Just a heads up.
Yeah that's what drains my battery more than anything, when its searching for signal inside our building at work
I think you have to download the original version of the unrooted rom and just flash that over the old stuff. Wipe the phone to clear it and it should be good to go.
So I'm still on an old version of the Unrevoked root and I want to upgrade to Unrevoked 3. When I read the instructions the first thing it tells me to do is uninstall the previous version of Unrevoked but when I go under the Applications list like it tells me to I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have any idea what I'm missing here?
Battery is still shit. Deleted my work email account off the phone today since it's my last day. Hoping to see an improvement.
Mine has improved tremendously. Wish the phone had more internal storage though, shit is getting annoying. And yes, I've moved most everything to the SD card.
i would say I'm basically a power user, but have none of these space problems yall seem to have. i have about 30-35 apps (only about 5 not installed)
What is the best battery to get? Don't care about cost (work will pay) I just want one that will last me most of the day. Also, i know there has been a lot of discussion on task killer/managers....do they really help?
1900mah ( i think ) is the largest stock battery to fit in the evo without having to get a different case back. http://www.htcexpress.com/batteries-htc-evo/10-chtc-evo-4g-1900mah-battery-sprint-verizon-incredible-droid.html
