dials= outbound call #'s quota for the day, basically mismanagement using stuff like salesforce to increase sales reps activity & waste their time but helping management to micromanage good & bad sales reps by monitoring their # of calls, appointments set & taken, etc.

its actually useful but i'm being sarcastic about it since it takes up time from sales reps to enter all that shit in and keep up w/ it even if its useful.
