So I've become close friends with a girl. I'm 26 and married, she's 22 and engaged. We work closely together, we see a lot of each other, hang out as couples, etc. We're very careful about not crossing any lines and respecting the whole platonic thing. I'm pretty flirty but harmless, she's a good girl Christian type. I'm a pretty open minded guy and think it can work. However.... We work in a restaurant, so it's full of gossip and rumor. Needless to say, everybody thinks we're fucking or at least plan on fucking. Lots of talk. Also, her fiancee's mom works there and hears it all, so now the girl's fiancee is concerned that we're cheating and more or less accused her of it. Also my wife is cool with it and couldn't care less. So my question is how should I/we go about resolving the issue with her fiancee? TL;DR Version: * Platonic friends with a pretty girl, I'm married, she's engaged * Lots of rumor and gossip about us fucking around. * Absolutely no fucking around going on. * Fiancee's mother who works with us tells fiancee about the rumor and gossip of us fucking around. * Fiancee thinks we're fucking around. * Using Saban icon because clearly the man is a genius and can do no wrong, despite the absence of nogs or noggery in this situation. But as far as getting her fiance to stop worrying, your best bet is for all four of you to go out for dinner so you can all become friends together. I've been in this situation before I was married and let me tell you, it's the biggest fucking mistake i've ever made to not just leave the job and the situation. If a good looking girl is hell bent on fucking you, and everyone around you can tell, it's going to happen. Get the fuck out of there, I don't care how good of "friends" you think you are. The repercussions to what you're eventually gonna do is not even close to worth it.

Have you considered taking a step back from your friendship? It seems to me that your feelings for her, or her feelings for you are becoming or have become more than just a friendship. If your guys feelings were just for friendship it would be a whole lot easier to take a step backward and give her her space so it wouldn't screw up her relationship.
