d/l and watched it yesterday, really enjoyed it. I thought episodes had potential althought I didn't love the pilot.
I didn't want to like it, but I did. I think Macy does a really good job of not being typical Macy, and I almost forget it is him. I like the dynamic of there being multiple stories and although the dialog is a bit ridiculous, overall it seems to work.
Glad someone bumped this. I watched he episode last night and it was good enough to keep me watching. I kep thinking the main guy was going to be connected to the guy that stole the purse (they used it as a way to meet her) and I still kinda think that but who knows Good pilot and will continue to watch
meet her as a mark? i mean what does she have that they would want. i guess a fall guy for a robbery, but doesn't make too much sense.
I hear in the third ep they finally stop making it a shot for shot remake of the UK version. Will be interesting to see how the american writers pull it off then.
Didn't realize it was an americanized version of a UK show, just looked it up and the UK version is on its 8th season (which I guess makes sense, I don't see why they would take an unsuccessful UK show and make an american version). Also that is ironic sense the other new show that comes on right before it, Episodes is about americanizing a UK show.
Just watched it and really enjoyed it. Didn't know what to expect, and it pleasantly surprised me. Will be watching the rest of the season.

anybody watch episode 2? i enjoyed it. thought him being in canada was pretty funny. macy's character pisses me off because he just doesnt give a goddamn about his kids but i guess thats the point to begin with i like the oldest son a lot. he's pretty funny. and lastly, why did the steve guy decide to buy her a van? obviously trying to make up for whatever but i don't understand why he wouldnt think that would come across as charity, something she wouldnt like
Just watched it, I really like this show, agree about Steve, dumb move with the van. Macy's character is hilarious and he does a great job with it, but yea the character pisses me off. Glad they toned down the gay ginger thing.
Enjoyed the second episode, though not as much as the first one. Macy's character pisses me off as well. Definitely a frustrating person, but like you said, that's the point.
Big fan of this show. Is the little black kid the hot 20 year old's? Somehow I've got it into my head that it's a girlfriend of the dad's. The girl plopped out a black kid and darted.
iirc, in the voice over at the beginning of the pilot, Macy's character mentioned something about that being the milk man's son while talking shit about his wife.
Saw the first show and the second half of the second. I have to say I laughed real hard at Macy and the agoraphobic house wife stuff. I think this show may be a good one.
thought it was pretty meh other than that girl's tits, may keep watching but i don't really see what direction they are trying to take the show
