When I was looking through, there was a ton of instances where the powerball was a certain #. Next drawing it was different. 3rd drawing was the same as the first #. Does that mean you should play on the first and 3rd drawings and pick the winning powerball from the 1st drawing? I'll answer for you, no.
I have heard someone could will it to one person, and if they passed away it stopped. But that may be more of an urban legend than anything factual. I think the cash option is a much better route after what you told me. Even if it was allowed to be willed to one person - $250 million in hand is better than $10 million over 26 years.
You're using an argument that has 2 outcomes - heads or tails. The PB has like 55. So there are 55 outcomes, not just 2.
I am interested in hearing out the benefits to state governments/government officials of risking criminal sanction in order to rig the lottery.
You literally just stated that you understand that each drawing is independent of the other. Therefore, how do you not understand that it has the same odds of hitting any other number as it does of hitting the same number? I can understand it not "seeming" like the odds are the same, but there's this whole math thing that says otherwise
I am of the belief that something is bound to happen eventually. I have made a lot of money at the casino playing roulette doubling up on red or black until it hits. Yes each roll is unique, but the odds that the wheel will roll red 8 times in a row are very slim. The odds from roll to roll are the same, I get that. But going into the play, the odds are hugely in my favor that it will not roll on the same color 8 times in a row. I did get caught up one time and have it happen 5 times and then a green, but luckily that 7th roll hit black and won me my original $10. But there have been plenty of times it didn't even get that deep - 10, 20 , 40, and I usually win $10. It takes three minutes to win $10. Just gotta have a bank roll and balls big enough to cover the doubling up. Also make sure the table max is at least $1,000. Also knowing when to play helps. I will sit there and watch and wait for it to roll red or black two times in a row before I jump in. That way I am already two rolls ahead.
You could use the exact same doubling strategy and go Red, Black, Red, Black, Red, Black etc. and you would get the exact same results.
That's kinda my point. I don't think it will be 24. But people wanna tell me that statistically it might be. The odds of that happening are few and slim.
Naaa...It has been shown that it CAN happen. But the odds of it happening are slim. Do what you do, but I will not have 24 as the PB number in any of my three tickets I play for Friday's drawing.
Yep if i won i would immediately drive up to the state lottery office to turn my ticket in. I can not believe it when i hear stories about people waiting like a month to turn the ticket in. Just keeping a $300mill ticket in your sock drawer
No not really. You should try it sometime. It has a name. It's not like I invented it. But I have learned how to increase the chances of winning. When I go to the casino, I win a couple hundred dollars on the roulette table, and then go to the $5 black jack table and drink free beer all night. If I lose what I won at the roulette wheel, I go back and win some more and then back to the black jack table. Good plan really. Get drunk for free, have lots of fun, and rarely lose any money. I usually walk away with a couple hundred. The thing that sucks is it is hard to win a shit ton of money the way I play roulette. It's hard to start with much more than $10 or $20. At $10, the 7th roll is $620, and the 8th is $1,240. A lot of times the table limit is $1,000.
Yeah and when you lose 15 hands in a row you are fucked. Its like the noob strategy to gambling. Ive lost 15 hands of Blackjack in a row. It happens.
Jesus Christ, you have no fucking idea what you are talking about. You haven't increased shit. You still have a slightly less than 50% chance to hit either red or black on each spin, and it does not matter which one you bet on. What you do is just a betting system that minimizes your chance of losing money over a series of spins. Eventually, you will get unlucky as fuck and lose all of your money.
Two comments on roulette.... -The oldest and most common betting system is the Martingale or "doubling-up" system,in which bets are doubled progressively. This probably dates back to the invention of the Roulette wheel, but every day of the week some gambler somewhere reinvents it, or some variation of it, and believes he has something new. Over the years hundreds of "sure-fire" winning systems have been dreamed up, but regardless of what system is used, in the long run it cannot overcome the house's advantage of the 0, or 0 and 00. This house advantage is the only system that consistently wins in the long run. -"No one can possibly win at roulette unless he steals money from the table while the croupier isn't looking." — Albert Einstein
Uhhh every ball has the exact same chance of getting pulled. Different drawings are independent of each other and have no influence on the future outcome. Hell if im at a roulette table and it goes black 500 times in a row guess what the chances are the next roll will be red..... 1/2. These odds dont change, there is no "magic equation" just plain and simple statistics. Of course this is only true if the game is fair (no corruption, weighted balls, etc) The more tickets you buy the better your odds.
Yeah I'm sure the strategy works so well for you and only you. I mean, shouldn't there be tons of people winning on roulette consistently like you at the casino if you can do it every single time and whenever you want? You are one dumb mother fucker.
Yeah and I watched roulette hit red 12 straight times when I was in Vegas last year. So it can happen at the roulette table as well.
Hater, don't hate. I said rarely lose. I have lost...and it sucks. Lose all that money over $10. The first time I learned about table limits was kinda cute too. I got pissed, but played the max and had to eat a couple hundred. I play by feel. Most of the time it doesn't get past $80. I switch it up too. I also play some of the other games - just not the numbers.
