The same Sergachev that was a healthy scratch last game? And if Hedman is out long term or it reoccurs, you prepared to put the best team in the league in the hands of a 19 year old?
Sergachev has to be part of it but that’s too much. In the sens position I would do sergachev and the top prospect . Maybe ask for a second round pick too. If I am the lightning i offer Braydon point and a first. Or sergachev and a second.
He is just now getting back to regular health. But this year has been a bit of a letdown after he carried the team last spring.
But if you are talking about my comment about him being benched, I agree. He has not been himself this year.
First all star game and it’s been fun so far. As for Karlsson to lightning trade, Tyler Johnson would have to be included to make the salary work. I would think the senators would want more prospects than players now anyway. Team seems ready for a rebuild.
Cap is going up. Turris took $6M in Tennessee which is like $7M here when you factor in taxes. Same with Florida. If he wants to be in Tampa he could sign for less which would be equivalent to a higher number here. Maybe he’s motivated to win because i know for a fact he doesn’t want to be here.
If they move Karlsson then ya rebuild is under way. They could re tool, especially if they land Dahlin. But that’s not a long term solution. The key in all of this is getting a new owner.
Sergachev plays 15 minutes a night and is the most sheltered D in the league, you could pretty much hand the cup to TB if they got Karlsson
Which is still good for a 19 year old D. But he’s not a sure thing like Connor or Austin. Could very well be a drop off next season.
Yea I'm just speaking from the perspective of a cup contender, he's a luxury for them right now but would be a great return for Ottawa. Separate Hedman and Karlsson on different pairings and the other team would never have the puck.
He would not have that value if he played for mtl, i would do it if I am Tampa. The window if right now. But i’ve Said that for a while
I agree with this. Cooper has done an incredible job with sergachev. He’s putting him in situations to succeed. At least he was when Hedman could drag anyone around for 25 min a night and he could use stralman to protect sergachev. Without Hedman he has been exposed. Still an incredible prospect who will most likely be a number 1 D sooner rather than later. Tampa is really high on him and they know they will not be able to resign Karlsson after next season but two cup runs with him and Hedman makes it worth it depending on the other pieces involved. Would have to move 1-2 other guys to make salaries work and probably another prospect/pick
sounds fan friendly in theory, but all they are gonna do is piss off season seat owners who paid full price for lower bowl seats only for the ones next to him to be given away
Why is Joey Logano the on-ice commentator tonight? Probably just annoyed because the Caps are playing like ass but annoyed nonetheless
I didn't know who he was I thought he was an Olympian just realized he's a driver. I guess they're looking for some NASCAR crossover from the 600k people watching this.
Something i hadn’t seen yet. A delay of game on a puck that went out of play behind the goalie on the other side. Sabres defenseman unloaded a slap shot from his zone and it just barely cleared the glass behind the panthers goalie
I was just thinking about this scenario this morning. I’d say a guy decided to opp the puck into the air on a penalty kill and just put way more strength into it than needed, would it be a delay of game.
It’s a dumb rule. As much as I hate to say it, the refs are sharp enough to use discretion whether a puck out of play was intentional or not.
No they are not, they will let a veteran get away with it and call the rookie. They had to make it black or white because refs never called it.
