Definitely not a fan of Marchand, but don’t see how he got five games for that, when brown got a 10k fine for his hit on Schultz. I know let it go.
what's the price tag for Karlsson look like? not that I think there's any chance Hextall would do it, but the Flyers could probably put together a very nice package.
Sens being outshot 20-5 against Boston. Still 3 minutes to go In the first period and somehow Sens are up 1-0.
The fact that he’s not just a rental but a guy you could have for 2 playoff runs combined with his talent is going to make that a big price to pay. I still think he ends up in Toronto at some point
Can’t see Toronto. He wants be somewhere south and warm. Or big, like NYC. And he wants to be on the DL. Philly would have the assets. And a team would have 2 playoff runs with a top 3 D in the league. Could actually see Tampa being a fit too.
I am not really sure how tampa puts together a package without going all in and mortgaging the future and I’m not sure yzerman will do that
If you want to go for it Tampa is the top team in the east this year. Give your team the best possible chance to win. It’s great to build a stable of assets that can fill in holes and give you options going forward, but the goal is to win the Cup. Karlsson gives them a better chance to win. Boils down to team philosophy.
Comment was more based on the Tampa being the top team in the East comment. Is nice to see a few guys besides Ovechkin show up for the first time in a while tonight though he's still carrying us.
A nice road win against the hottest team in the East's good division for the Lightning tonight after knocking off the top team in the central on the road two nights ago.
He's back to being himself, you play us a week ago and probably score 5 or 6. NHL doing something right:
Can’t imagine the mental grind it takes to be sharp every game as a nhl goalie, no wonder they are all nuts
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.so...40656/seattle-nhl-expansion-draft-application Oh shit. Expansion application apparently coming in the next couple of weeks. Also, they've registered 13 team names so far. I'd be fine with Emeralds, Kraken, Rainiers, Sockeyes, or Totems Seattle Cougars Seattle Eagles Seattle Emeralds Seattle Evergreens Seattle Firebirds Seattle Kraken Seattle Rainiers Seattle Renegades Seattle Sea Lions Seattle Seals Seattle Sockeyes Seattle Totems Seattle Whales
I like Emeralds, Evergreens and Rainiers. Totems/Whales are too close to the Canucks and Thunderbirds imo
I dig totems, rainiers, and sockeyes. Prefer totems and rainiers. I'm such a sucker for the tbirds logo; it's beautiful.
Kraken is an Atlantic mythical sea monster so that doesn’t make sense. Totems have been a longstanding pro/junior/youth team name up there. Rainiers were a longtime Seattle baseball team. There have already been NHL teams with Cougars and Seals.
Like renegades. Rest of the list not so much. Wouldn’t mind Sea warriors Spirit Sentinels Shoreman Skyhawks Skylanders Storms
Need the Whales so Vancouver can take the Orca off their uniform and add Johnny Canuck. Orcas are technically dolphins so I don't how it'd play out. Seattle Thunderbirds/Breakers would be far better, just have to buy out the name.
Thunderbirds would be good if they want to stay with what’s been around for awhile and stick with the PNW colors.
Rainiers as a throwback to the baseball team would work. Maybe Evergreens or something. Or Thunderbirds if they move the WHL team. Seals and Whales have already been used.
Put coils in the sun dome, move tbirds to Yakima Don't think tbirds will be moving, though. They play in Kent.
