worthless JamesDallESPN Arsenal forward Marouane Chamakh pictured holding a shisha pipe on Saturday: http://t.co/GmVBxHIo 4/3/12 2:19 AM
Chamakh's bitch ass wants to stay so he can earn a higher pay check while not playing. Don't even care since we're getting Podolski but dread the day we need any type of performance out of him.
I'd rather have Chamakh just because he's less of a distraction. Bendtner is either getting arrested or bitching about why he isn't starting and countless other drama. If Bendtner was fine with being a bench warmer that occasionally gets 20 minutes to try and win a match then would be fine with him staying but he's more trouble than good. Despite the recent shit Chamakh is pretty quiet. Everyone knows he's a joke but he doesn't draw a ton of attention to himself like Bendtner. Not too worried about striker after adding Podolski.
is arsenal going to try and use podolski as a reserve for van persie? or are they going to switch to a two striker formation? or are they going to stay with the 4231 and use him as a winger?
Unless Bendtner is actually distracting his teammates (no way of us to really know if that's actually true), I'd rather have a guy that actually, ya know, scores goals. Chamakh fucking blows. He's a free version of Torres at this point.
Probably play him on the left of RvP. You could also see them rest RvP a bit or bring one on for the other as a sub. He's versatile though, so it's tough to say for sure. If they're chasing a game, you could see them playing as a strike pair in a 4-4-2 as well.
podolski will be a locker room ruiner that leaves arsenal in less than two years if his primary role is as a sub
Can we just agree they both suck. He's better than Gervinho so he'll be in our best XI. How the formations will work, no idea but imagine we'll see a lot of Podolski at both winger and as a striker.
the wingers are given a lot of freedom to push inside in Arsenal's system Theo will often be in a central position as RVP drops deeper to find space, creating room Sagna to push down the rw on left, it really depends on personel being used, Gervinho and Ox generally stay wide and cut in late, but when Ramsey plays there he pushes inside and becomes another CM, creating room for Gibbs at LW I think Podolski would be used similar to Theo, having him push into the box and almost play as a striker, even if he starts on the left
Podolski would have to start over gervinho or walcott... I still think Gervinho will get better once he gets used to the PL. Walcott has nowhere to go but up and is still young.. we just need one more guy that can consistently make shit happen in attack..now.
A bit of indecisiveness at times as well. Theres been a few times where he'll beat his man and not really know what to do next it seemed like?!
Main thing that pissed me off about Chamakh is that he was smoking with Adel Taarabt right after they beat us. I know they're friends and both Moroccan but still at least wait a little bit you faggot.
Gervinho will definitely improve but the problem he has is he's not a great sub which will be a frequent role next year. He slows up play and a shit finisher which is not what you need when you need a goal. Needs to get better running off the ball and link up play. Still like his attitude and think he's an asset. Also the boy is back in a reserve game tmrw.
So what you're saying is he will be hurt sometime in the next 2 weeks, and out for the next 6 monthes?
Bad info on the boy coming back. All the non-starters from Saturday played 45, Ox set up a Park goal. Chamakh was supposedly awful again.
Yeah...uhhh...that didn't happen at all against QPR. Ramsey and Rosicky were way too close to each other the whole game. It made both of them ineffective and we couldn't keep possession of the ball. I'm starting to get really sour on Ramsey.
I feel like Wenger was really stretching to just get Ramsey on the field by putting him there. Wenger seems to really love Ramsey. I havent given up hope, hes still young, but I'd like to see him in a reduced role asap
There is a night and day difference between him and Rosicky right now. Rosicky has been great at both keeping possession and moving the ball forward (he really plays well off of Arteta and vice versa). He's also known when is the right time to press forward, take a shot or put a teammate in a position to do something good. Contrast that with Ramsey who doesn't hold onto the ball and is constantly passing it to his teammates when they're not really open for a pass. I know he's young, but right now his play is detrimental to the team.
would really like some actual confirmation on podolski, just seems like something we would manage to fuck up. british media throw around rumors as if they're facts so much it is out of control and i have seriously read multiple articles every week for a couple of months that say he will be introduced in the next week, just want this shit to be over. by the way, i am kind of worried about adding podolski's temper to the locker room and also worrried he won't play as much as he wants to. that is, if this deal actually happens like i think it will in the end.
What I hate so much about all the hype on a player coming to Arsenal, is that if we don't make a move, one of our rivals will be alerted and probably snatch them up. (see mata)
Yep, we'll be outbid for M'Vila. Florentino Perez once said his transfer policy was finding the Arsenal targets and paying extra.
Sun 15 April: Tottenham v Chelsea Wed 18 April: Chelsea v Barcelona Sat 21 April: Arsenal v Chelsea Tue 24 April: Barcelona v Chelsea I think we catch Chelsea at the right time
That is a brutal stretch right there, even if they only leave London for the last leg of the CL semis
this weekend's game couldn't be at a worst time. I have to figure out how I'm getting out of Easter brunch.
Girlfriend is meeting some of my family for the first time so I can't abandon altogether. I will be only a couple doors down from my parents' house though so I think I will just "check on the dog" about a dozen times.
