They aren’t moving to 5 with a ‘25 2nd. And I don’t see them giving 2 2nds to move up when they can stay put and still get a blue chip player.
JJ is switching to 1 Pettit is switching from 18 to 81 Twitter is saying Allen will wear 13 and Williams will wear 18.
Allen tweet was a fake. Scott was legit he’s going to 10 I guess 13 will go between Caleb or Allen I also saw someone post you can’t order a #18 Williams jersey online but who knows if that is also bullshit
Playing around with the draft simulators has warmed me up to the idea as well The issue to me becomes trade partners and how late the 2nd round pick could be that the bears could pick up. Anything after ~45 gets dicey because imo this draft class drops off early on day 2. Don’t like the day 2 OT class, WR run will be early if not ending day 1. What would be your dream scenario wrt trade partner and who would be available in a 1st and 2nd round position?
To me the no brainers at 9 are Alt and Nabers. Also extremely unlikely to be there. I would be content with Rome or Turner at 9, both are good players. Rome is a luxury pick and Turner is a bit of a reach but a need. After playing around with mocks, I think trading down to recapture a second and trading up from 75 could result in something like this (also best case scenarios).
I saw a mock that had us trading down with Nabers on the board @ 9 to draft one of the OTs for a ‘25 2nd. Had to laugh at that one.
I had to google because I couldn’t remember, it was Schrager’s https://www.nfl.com/news/peter-schr...for-j-j-mccarthy-vikings-stick-and-pick-cb-qb
no it was schrager who is a plugged in guy which kind of makes me worry. Not the pick but the trade down and the compensation
Yes, he would be an outlier. But he’s been posted production and athletic data that’s off the charts good. I think he can overcome it. It does seem like he’s not what Pole’s targets from a size standpoint but undersized 3Ts can work in Flus system.
Waddle and Silvy just did a round table with 5 or 6 reporters where they asked them a series of questions. One of the questions was what the bears would do at 9 and they all said draft Odunze. Take that for what it’s worth. Reporters were Courtney Cronin, Dionne Miller, Patrick Finley, Josh Shrock, Mark Potash, and maybe Jason mckie (he was supposed to be included but I don’t think I ever heard him)
If Indy or New Orleans would part with this year’s second to move up to 9 I wouldn’t mind picking Latu at 14/15 and Pearsall in the second. Rome is solid but DL needs some help; this defense doesn’t work without a reliable 4 man pass rush. (Latu injury is a concern obviously but if the doctors clear it, why not. Obviously UW’s docs were wrong and UCLA’s were right til this point). (I’m a lot less into Verse and Turner after watching more game film). DE free agent market sucks
If Arizona trades out of 4 there sure seems to be a path to getting Nabers or MHJ. May have to trade up a couple of spots. Really don’t want verse or Murphy at 9, especially Murphy. If they’re dead set on that then hopefully they can trade back to 13 or 15
Zero reason to trade up for a WR. Its beyond stupid... Actually the only option for this team is select at 9 or trade back. Staying at 9 or trading back a few slots, you could easily leave the 1st round with the best offensive prospect (Williams) and best defensive prospect (Murphy)
I don't understand why people think Pearsall is a top 50 player in this draft. It would be a horrible mistake to take that guy. I love Latu if his medical is clean
when did Murphy become the best defensive prospect because he wasn’t in february. He somehow got better since he stopped playing
Keep seeing the Rams want to move in the top 10 really bad. If they drop that far back they better get a big haul.
Draft trade charts aren’t science but moving 9 to 14 is worth a third round pick. Doesn’t really move the needle for me
I mean... It's entirely possible to get a better player later, but we have so few difference makers on our team that they better hit on that pick if they trade back
The talking heads have convinced me WR is pretty easy to pick up in trades (Adams, hill, Hopkins, Cooper). I was team Rome until this week
