Watched the first half on and off before I went to sleep. This organization has lost me. It only took 31 years.
I think Dan Orlovsky is about to replace Stafford. I mean Caldwell got the job because he was supposed to take Stafford to the next level, but instead he is being benched for Dan Orlovsky.
Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 42s43 seconds ago Matt Stafford standing by himself, no helmet, down the sideline. Also, something just happened with Tate in the huddle. Pulled of the field.
lol we're down 28 in the 4th, so naturally Caldwell decides to kick a FG. I mean really? We're still down four scores, asshole.
LG @LGhail 54s55 seconds ago The Lions kick a FG to make it a 25 point deficit. Was a 4 possession game, but now only a 4 possession game.
"Just got to move on." -Caldwell I fucking hate this organization. At least I checked out early this season.
Tony Dungy is a fucking enabler and he should be fired from his job as an NFL analyst for offering a recommendation for Caldwell.
Kyle Meinke @kmeinke 11s12 seconds ago Dan Orlovsky and Drew Stanton are facing off against each other at Ford Field.
The great part about Dan Orvlosky is that he's terrible and never going to be better than terrible, so he serves no purpose as a backup. He won't win games and he's not a future starter.
Apparently the remaining fans are trying to do the wave. They should all be shot along with the coaching staff.
Justin Rogers@Justin_Rogers On Corey Redding's interception, Arians said the d-line coach identified it and called it out from the sidelines.
I am already at the point where I am researching new GM's and for now my heart is with Duke Tobin, current Director of Pro Personnel of the Bengals. Cincy has went from a joke franchise under the thumb of a power hungry owner into a model franchise when it comes to roster management and development and Tobin is a key piece of that. Of course the 15 minutes of research that I did will be all for naught since I do not expect any significant changes to happen this year.
LOL no. We've got a solid 3-5 years left of this. I know you've been paying attention the last 40 years.
We have a woman in her 90's running the organization....I'm sure she will address these shortcomings with a fury.
We are so bad. I don't understand how we are so bad. Everything about today reminded me of 0-16, except I feel like this is almost worse because for all the shit that happened that year I don't remember key players visibly quitting in the middle of the game. At least we knew that year was going to suck. When we inevitably go 2-14 it will somehow feel worse than 0-16. This franchise is cursed.
There is no cure for this. It is the Lions. This will always be the Lions. Their motto should be: Not In Your Lifetime.
I'm hoping we finish with 3 or 4 wins. Basically I just don't want to be last. Not for any sense of pride or anything, I just want to be in that 3-6 range when we draft. The draft is my favorite day of the NFL calendar, and most of the excitement and intrigue seems to be with those picks. So maybe we can be in the thick of that and come away with a player I can get excited about for a couple weeks. I would say that's the best I can hope for from the 2015 Lions.
I'm just pissed we have to waste another first rounder on a QB, when with some sort of decent drafting and coaching and we'd probably have a really good OL and a serviceable chucker at QB.
Stafford should be middle of the pack at QB in this league. Their inability to field a decent OL or draft RB is the main problem. Bess, LeShoure, and now Abdullah all look to be wasted.
Why kick a field goal? Caldwell is a moron. Total idiocy. Rather risk giving them the ball at their own 14 on a 4th and 4 than kick off to them down 4.
Even if we win this game, it doesn't change how dumb going for 3 is there, especially when you already faked a punt on the drive.
