Sterling is fine on the wing and he is doing a good job for Man City playing on the left side. Lallana was a pointless buy even though I stick up for him at times. We would be so much better with a proper LW with the lineup we have been playing. Now when Sturridge comes back who knows how we will play or lineup.

Benteke has been really good. And will get better. He is so good in the air but he has other parts to his game that I don't think most realized. Once he gets use to playing with Coutinho and company I think he will be special. Love the fact he is only 24.

There's no way Lallana starts again this week right?

Sterling should have spent the the entire year on the wing. He's a natural winger not a #9

He should't. But I would bet my life savings on him being in the starting 11.

If he replaces Ibe instead I will be pissed.

Can we discuss why the fuck Henderson was playing hurt against Bournemouth?

After the 1-0 win, in which Henderson set up the winner for Christian Benteke, Brendan Rodgers revealed the 25-year-old had taken painkillers in order to start the game.

“He had a problem with the bottom of his foot,” said Rodgers. “He hadn’t trained for part of the week.

“He was taking some painkillers with it, and did ever so well to even be out on the field.

“He wanted to give it a go, but you could see he was limited in his running.

“He did great for us when he was on the pitch, but it’s important we have fit players on the field, and unfortunately he was just in too much pain.”

Be nice to keep some perspective about this game, @ Arsenal LFC have one win in the last 15 years.

    No Hendo? How about

    Mignolet

    Gomez. Skrtel. Lovren.

    Clyne. Milner. Can. Moreno

    Coutinho. Firmino

    Benteke

That's pretty much same I had once Sturridge is back just with Firmino instead of Milner.

I think that is a great role for him as well and loved him in it, just figured being realistic he would likely be in the starting XI (and fitness isn't an issue with him and with his ability to play all over he could be moved around when you made subs)

He can play literally almost any position on the pitch

Hoping maybe to catch them before they get in rhythm. If we can get a draw I'd be happy, am expecting a loss.

You guys should win pretty easily. We will be without Henderson, our CB's are Lovren and Skrtel, and our attack looks promising but still doesn't quite look like they are comfortable playing with each other yet.

Don't believe it, if we got a really good bid for Sakho he'd be gone. If he doesn't play a lot this fall, I bet he moves in January.

Slightly sad that the only way to get the best 11 is through possible injuries.

@AnfieldHQ96: Of the seven summer recruits, Firmino is the one Rodgers was convinced to sign rather than pleading himself. #lfc (Chris Bascombe)

To play devil's advocate, would Rodgers really be expected to know that much about Firmino? He's a manager, not a scout. It makes sense that the guys he most wants are EPL guys.

Because I knew Firmino was awesome and I'm not paid to know about soccer. He started for Brazil in copa America this year. I don't think it's crazy to hope your manager has a basic understanding of really good players in other major leagues.

Lallana already hurt again. The guy is paper tissue soft.

Also according to reports in Italy Balotelli is going back to AC Milan and LFC are paying half of his wages. 10 million euro option to buy.

I think it was mentioned previously but it is incredibly sad that we have to pull for some injuries for BR to actually put our strongest 11 out on the field. Lallana is one of those injuries that might be a God send.
