Fine, assholes. I'll be the one to ask. Can we please get a better shot of her boobs? Keep the bottle over the dudes face though.
Clarify "we"...the armpit of the east coast welcomes you with open arms....I'd be down for that mostly for the latter part of your post.
better check yourself before you wreck yourself. i might have to make a trip up at the same time just to spite all of you. edit: i'm posting this at 3:40 in the morning because i just woke up from a nightmare
Anybody have a favorite beer app that allows for quick reviews of brews for later reference? Came across this little guy and will be giving it a shot. Others in the past kinda blew.
Hey guys, I usually am just a simple Blue Moon man, but I am starting to get into some 'better' beers. Not a big fan of the dark beers yet, but I am checking out a nice bar tonight, here is a link to their beer list. Any suggestions? cdaysker as a fellow Husk, have you been to Lauter Tun in Omaha? Any suggestions? http://www.thelautertun.com/beer-list/
if we're excluding dark beers... Goose Island Sophie Green Flash West Coast IPA New Belgium Fat Tire New Belgium Snow Day Sierra Nevada Celebration Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Sierra Nevada Torpedo Ska Modus Hoperandi Unibroue La Fin Du Monde Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA Weyerbacher Insanity
If you're just getting into the snobbery then I'd go with: Snow Day - Hoppy but not too hoppy. Good intro to hopped up stuff Sophie - Good American Belgian Boulevard Wheat - Start with this one, it'll be more like the beers you're used to Bourbon County - If you want to try a world class stout, but it is a heavy dark beer( don't be a pussy, do it) Celebration - If you feel like you want something hoppier than the Snow Day.
I'll just cut to the chase. How about a review on everything Brocktoon - especially the Goose Island. Quite the selection you have there.
Hydrating with a Founders Breakfast Stout before going to shovel snow. I'll spare you all the 1000 x 1000 pixel picture. Also to the inevitable Southerner that asks "what snow is" Spoiler
indeed. but it gets worse...this is what somebody from SN said about it: "Sadly, no bottles this year, and probably not next year either. We only made about 20Bbl of this so every ounce of it went into kegs, and those kegs will probably only see festivals and super special events..."
Lame. Gonna crack some good ones tonight: -Bell's Black Note, courtesy of IGetBuckets -Firestone Parabola 2012 -CC Humidor Series Black Ale, courtesy of Zack Zedalis My neighbor says he has some wheat wine from Boulevard or something. Looks like it's called Harvest Dance.
I was just thinking this same thing myself, so here you go: Spoiler 2008 Darkness - best beer of the night. I had a fresh one in December and thought it was good but nothing special. But this was great, a couple guys even swore it was barrel aged (it's not). Bourbon County Bramble Rye - I was disappointed a bit, the rasberries overpowered the bourbon and stout characteristics. I've had all the BC variants besides Vanilla and Rare (soon) and this was easily my least favorite Cascade Kriek - Loved it, super sour, cherries were tart not sweet. Good enough that we pooled together and will be ordering a case from Cascade as soon as their system is back online BB Taxman - smelled amazing, first sip was great but no carbonation whatsoever. It was really sad because you could tell it would be such a great beer if it would have carbed properly Cafe Royale - courtesy of Fargin' . I really like this beer. Good coffee and barrel flavor. A little thin at first but once it got to about room temperature it was great. It didn't have the name cache of the others we had but everyone agreed that it was one of the best. Vanilla Rum Dark Apparition - disappointing. It's my first rum barrel beer and I don't think that rum imparts enough liqour taste compared to bourbon/whiskey/brandy barrels. And honestly the base beer didn't seem anything special 2011 Mother of All Storms - Even with the age on it, it was super hot. I have one myself and will probably sit on it for another year or two and revisit the beer. Guava Grove - just a solid saison and was a nice break from all the heavy beers New Holland Beer Barrel Bourbon - didn't drink any last night but it's good. Beer doesn't add a lot but just enough, plus it's a cool concept and makes a great piece for a home bar.
MoAS is one of the most overrated beers I've ever had. Love all Cascade stuff. I've become a big fan.
Enjoying the Expedition Stout now, really good, immediately jumps into my top 5 stouts. Speaking of, I really wanted to buy a bottle of bourbon aged Old Rasputin last night but couldn't pull the trigger, especially with hop slam coming next week
going to an oyster roast in san marco early evening and then likely headed to intuition afterwards. let me know if yall head that way
Yea thats about 5 or 6 bucks less than it is around here. I'm jealous. I would buy a case or two at that price.

Decided I needed one more Ithaca flower power on draft before i flew home (i had 5 last night). Just stopped at the Buffalo Brewpub in Buffalo, Ny on my way to the airport. Along with making their own beers, its an outstanding craft beer bar. Cheers!
Today's score presented by selling used books on Amazon. Might need to grab another $10 6-pack of expedition though. More Cowbell your oatmeal stout is now in stock in my cellar.
