Valid point on timing. I would have released this shit right after the BCSCG or last Friday-especially when they knew this was coming. I get what you are saying, but at this point he has completely lost control of the message.

Given how controlling Brian Te'o is about media, I have no doubt they only agreed to this with pre written questions that had to be approved.

 

Well, that's still a pretty big story isn't it? We learned a lot about journalism, or lack thereof. We learned that everyone from Te'o to ND to ESPN wanted to keep playing up the dead girlfriend angle, even after they knew it was a hoax, to get better ratings and more eyeballs for the BCS title game. We learned, or really confirmed after seeing it with the Sandusky story, that news absolutely explodes these days via twitter, regardless of whether the facts are correct or not. This is still a pretty big story that will be discussed for a long time, IMO.
