That was the old Twitter name of the fake GF. Changed it several times. Old name no longer existed until somebody created a new account with that name today. Retweeted a few old tweets of Te'o and there you have it.
There is supposedly somebody "playing" the role of Lennay (and other parties helping her/it out). Hence the phone call before the Awards Show from her/it cellphone to Te'o. With that said, its not out of the realm of possibility that Te'o and Tuiososopo have even rigged this twitter account and the story about the phone call. Who knows at this point.

Over compensating. Like the chick that thinks her 100 lb frame has no curves getting a DD boob job. He is (allegedly) a popular gay football player not nailing every chick on campus....make up an elaborate story about a love of your life GF that lives on the other side of the country.
In no scenario is he innocent, even if it was a hoax he still lied and played up the story to the media.
I've asked this question several times also, and haven't gotten anything other than the conclusion that the Tuiasosopo dude must be his gay lover. One would think a gay high-profile athlete, who's Mormon and attends a Catholic school, would try to keep his personal life out of the media as much as possible.
