There arent even very many efforts to stop the ones that fall through the cracks to begin with. http://www.nami.org/gtsTemplate09.c...Management/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=75255 like Jake Barnes said, it's statistically negligible, which is cold, and it's incredibly difficult (look at the amount of serial killers are out there), to prevent, but even then mental health advocacy is pretty lacking in the public scope
Breaking News @BreakingNews Official with knowledge of Connecticut school shooting says 27 dead, including 18 children
We need to create a machine that revives pieces of shit like this so we can kill them over and over again. I'd happily take a turn.
A.) I don't need a kid to know the odds of a situation like this happening to one particular school and B.) Yes, most of my fears tend to be fairly rational. I tend not to get worked up about unrealistic scenarios because I'm an adult?
Um There's more: http://www.breakingnews.com/topic/oregon-mall-shooting-2012 CNN has all the latest important details: quote: The two-story mall is about 11 miles southeast of downtown Portland and is anchored with such stores as Sears, JC Penney and Macy's, according to its website. I pray night and day that terrorist don't ever realize that this is a much better way of scaring the shit out of Americans. If a few Wal Marts in random towns were shot up by terrorist that's gonna scare the populous waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than a mass bombing of a symbolic landmark.

I thought this literally the day after 9/11. I thought it was inevitable because it makes so much sense.
At work in the area, our Christmas party is essentially shut down because none of us want to even celebrate right now. Lots of coworkers crying. Horrible.

Officials say the gunman was also killed and apparently had two guns. It happened around 9:40 a.m. Friday at Sandy Hook Elementary School. ----------- Maybe thats where people thinking 2 people, 2 diff guns?
I don't have kids either, and I understand probabilities and statistics (better than any other subject matter), I'm not arguing the likelihood of the situation. I'm just saying it's pretty easy to tell someone ekse not to worry about something like this happening to their child. People have emotions. I think you probably do need to have a child to accurately speak to how you would react in a situation like this.
