Ya I get that the governor is likely hiding something...i don't need michonnes spidey sense to go off every second of her screen time to tell me it so she can say I told you so later. They've made her more annoying than Tara from true blood which I didn't think was possible.
Writers trying to draw some macabre parallel with the zombie's pot belly full of former preggo-bellied wife.
Spoiler She will be credited for her voice? This ep was terrible. Rick acts like he hates his wife for 3 episodes then loses it when she dies. Carl kills her and seems proetty normal while Rick goes apeshit.
If Daniel Day Lewis played Rick, the phone story line could become merely passable. I have my doubts that the master thespians that make up the current TWD cast can make this even average.
Spoiler It's Lori....and she speaks calmly and rationally to Rick. Bet you never thought you'd hear that sentence, did you?
Spoiler The director of the episode just said on Talking Dead that Lori was dead. He said you could see her hair and bones in the zombies mouth from where the zombie ate the remains of Lori.
I loved seeing the zombie just laying there full and in a food coma from eating Lori. Like a complete fuck you to Rick, "that bitch was tasty"
The zombie he went apeshit on had eaten Lori's remains? What did Rick see that led him to figure this out? I was watching the game, so I must have missed something.
uh ya...pretty sure this didn't happen. Rick just stabbed the fat fuck b/c he hates the baby and was acting like it was preggo lorrie
didn't think it was terrible in that we at least got to see creepy Governor. And fuck that phone this early
Phone/Woodbury spoiler shit... Spoiler I don't see how they can have Rick going insane like this THEN pull it together enough to combat anything Woodbury would throw at the prison group. They have so few people now. Granted Woodbury wouldn't send all 70+ people they have but they've got a bit of a kill squad going on... Prison group has now insane Rick, Glen, Maggie, Daryl, Carl, a one-legged senior citizen, his scrawny daughter and a baby. I honestly don't even know if there's going to be a Woodbury/Rick's group clash now.
I don't think they will have the Woodbury/Rick clash. If it is, I think it will be a small group and a dramatic clash as they all meet up with Michonne/Andrea in the middle. Merle and Daryl communicate while Governor and Rick communicate. Shit gets heated and Daryl ends up protecting Rick against Merle while Michonne sword rapes the Governor. Boom.
because its a god damned fortress and theyre not seal team six. breaching the fences doesnt mean shit. they have the keys to lock off sections and control how the battle is fought. all they would need is 1 sniper to hold off all of the governors men. i highly doubt any of the none hit squaders are going to want to fight other humans for a prison that could cost them their lives over chilling in woodbury.
So this thread has turned into a big discussion of the comics. Anyway, if they're trying to make the governor the bad guy it isn't working. The WWE zombie thing wasn't that weird at all, and Andrea's argument that "you're teaching them zombies aren't dangerous" seemed out of place. And I guess I missed fat zombie having lori's hair hanging out of his mouth. That scene is now hilarious. Zombie food coma from eating the worst character on the show combined with Rick essentially stabbing what was his wife repeatedly...I really have no words to describe how weird that is.
Thought the episode was one of the better ones of the season. Sounds like many of you didn't like it though. I don't read the comics and didn't read any of the spoilers so I have no problem with whatever this phone business is. I can retroactively decide it was a horrible idea if they screw it up later though.
Yeah I missed the fat zombie stuff too. Definitely could have been better Disagree on the Andrea/wwe scene. The point is that zombies can't be controlled and you need to fear them. And on the comic book stuff, there a few "signature" moments, for lack of a better phrase, and the phone is one, in my mind. It will get discussed
What was the deal with all the lines drawn in the governor's diary? It started off with names, got to Penny (his zombie daughter I guess), and then it was just a bunch of lines. Is that supposed to show when he went crazy? After his daughter got got he went crazy?
Comic book governor is too over-the-top. I prefer the comparative subtlety of the TV governor, as long as he continues to get progressively creepier.
I hope they just completely abandon the comics and have Daryl, Merle, and Rick kill everyone but Michonne and then take turns beating the living shit out of her for talking out of turn.
