As bad as Luke has sucked this year I just can't give him all of the blame for it simply because of how bad our play calling has been. Our offensive coaching/play calling is still terrible but luckily Shaq is such an athlete that he can make something out of nothing most of the time. He got out of trouble so much last night and ended up turning what should have been sacks in to 15-20 yard gains. That 50 yard TD run he had last night was because of him getting out of trouble and breaking/dodging at least 5-6 tackles before he broke free.

 

Honestly Byrnes isn't that impressive as a team this year but they have great coaching. As far as athletes go, you only have to worry about Booker because they don't have anyone else on their team that can beat you. I just wish the school board in Gaffney weren't a bunch of tight wad fucksticks who would invest some money into the football program so some quality coaches could/would come. If you look at a team like Byrnes, they have about twice as many football coaches on salary as Gaffney does.

 

Good for them but didnt want them to beat Manning.

Any luck so far? Our club has seen maybe 20 between the 4 of us, and most during bow season. Got a feeling im getting one tomorrow though, if the bastard doesnt have spots or babies in tow, its going down.

 

Weve been going early morning and late in the evening and havent seen much, trying it again in the morning if the winds right. They are there because they are eating the shit out of the corn right now

 

Only success I've had this year has been in the evening. I've been about 10 times this year and have seen 5, killed 1

 

We've got about 1,500 ac, and the club that leases part of it has only killed 4, a pretty big contrast compared to every other year.

There was a real nice Monday morning 2 weeks ago when the temps dropped pretty sharp overnight and had them moving pretty good, but I couldn't get a shot off.

 

I went this evening, weather was perfect wind was great, saw four does, got blowed at on the way out to the truck but it was a good way through the briars to tell what it was

Yea i dont go to work until 10am so its hard for me to wake up at 5am to go hunting. I usually wait for the evening to sit

Heavy, swirling wind is spreading your scent around and spooking the deer. A light wind, blowing in your face or no wind is ideal.

 

Deer are also more likely to sit tight when the weather is bad rather than walking around and feeding( which is what you want when sitting up in a tree). If you are driving them with dogs it doesnt apply. Deer also like to use the wind to carry scent to them, so if they smell you they will choose another route
