I guess I just didn't expect Ann's mother to be so young. Next you're going to be saying that Ann and I could be sisters. No I'm not. Why would I say that?
Okay I'm going to put you on this machine to slow down your heart rate, hopefully not too slow, because it's already dangerously slow as it is.
Was watching this episode a few nights ago and I was basically asleep and I started cracking up after this exchange. You know, this open marriage is ridiculous. Somebody's gonna get hurt. You know, first of all, we are doing this for Maeby, because neither one of us wants to get divorced. And second-of-ly, I know you're the big marriage expert - oh, I'm sorry, I forgot, your wife is dead!
AD and Community are my two go-to shows to put on as I fall asleep. I can't tell you how many times I'm so close to asleep and just start cracking up just like you said.
yup. i've had a rotation going on for many years now of simpsons, seinfeld, community, parks and AD that i watch as i fall asleep. generally it works well because i can just listen and enjoy the repeats but every once in a while (aka a lot) a line like that will basically wake me up from laughing. definitely worth it though
I've been re-watching the Larry Sanders Show and it's amazing to see the consistency in Tambor's work from then through AD. What a fucking genius.
"You know, just two adults getting our stew on man!" "I don't know what that means, but it sounds disgusting"
You haven't had a serious relationship since your wife, and you guys weren't even talking toward the end. Yeah, a lot of that was the coma. Yeah, I've heard your side of it
That episode is still IMO the GOAT Arrested Development episode. The first time I watched that Tobias line, I almost died I was laughing so hard. Then I rewinded it and almost died again six or seven times.
Tobias arrived to the audition frightened. Which gave him confidence. Which frightened him again. "I'm ready"
Just caught this last night but when Tobias is telling Carl how he can't be nude (after he's cast as Frightened Inmate #2), Carl is eating a bowl of stew at the kitchen counter
In Shock and Aww, when they do the cut back to Lucille signing the papers to adopt Annyong, she does it because she's yelling at Buster about not eating all of his cottage cheese and that she's going to get a son who will. Then later, she leaves a note that she's taking Annyong to the school dance with Maeby and that she left his dinner on the counter. And it's a big ass tub of cottage cheese. Don't know why but this absolutely killed me.

everyone probably loves the shows for similar reasons, but I love the reflective nature of the show. the charlie brown music, the catch phrases, the 4 or 5 bits of music they always use, the zoom ins, the flashbacks via dialogue and via flashbacks... I love how when Oscar and Buster talk they always play that music and reference that Oscar is the father. gets me everytime
Third time on this page and I still laugh hysterically each time. Can anyone who is better than me at gif-ing find one with Tobias and all of his vanity plates? "INM8 2" "CONMAN 2" "DR HOUSE" Hilarious
Noticed again last night that when the sheep employees get on Lupe's bus that it's the Church of the Good Shepherd
"Are you making dinner reservations?" "No, no that was my mom she just had a little Korean dropped off." "Ohh that sounds good, let's have that."
THE LITERAL DOCTOR It looks like he's dead. [everyone gasps in shock] MICHAEL BLUTH Wait, is he really dead or does it look like he's dead? THE LITERAL DOCTOR It looks like he's dead. He's covered in blue paint or something. [everyone starts shouting and throwing things at him]

The article about GOB being promoted has very very interesting commentary. (you will need to zoom in)
