Looks pretty sick. The trailer almost looked scripted how the main character talks about what is going on in the environment but will be interesting to see how the whole "skyline" feature works (without constantly falling off)
A) i bet they make it pretty difficult to fall off. B) I think your guy will talk like that all game.
when all is said and done, i think bioshock and bioshock infinite will be the #1 and #2 best video games of alltime. ken levine and his crew run circles around everybody else. the difference in creativity/effort that will go into bioshock infinite compared with, say, modern warfare 4 is night and day
bioshock 2 was a very good game. the only downside is that rapture isnt new. the story is solid, just not quite the wow factor the original had. but the gameplay is possibly an improvement over bioshock 1. as far as is it worth buying...im sure you could get it for 19 bucks. official playstation mag gave it a 10 (or whatever their perfect score is), and ign gave it a 9.
it was good, just unoriginal. Worth playing somehow. It didn't suck, people just weren't blown away. I loved it of course.
when that demo showed you and the girl time warping to the 1980's with the marquee showing 'return of the jedi', i cried happy tears.
I've seen Bioshock 2 for like $9 everywhere. Might pick it up since I haven't played Bioshock in about 4 years.
Well Bioshock will have to compete with ME3 then. Dont see much else competing with Skyrim this year.
Batman AC seems like the only real contender. I probably won't ever play Skyrim, though. Just not my thing.
I just realized Bioshock doesn't even come out until December 31, 2012. I bet that date even gets pushed back.
there is no release date, just 2012. Games without a release date say Dec. 31, year.... it is scheduled for a quarter 2 release, likely april or may
id tend to agree, but if youre talking about what may win the award, gears of war 3 might because its sales numbers will be incredibly high. and i cant see that game getting less than 9's and 9.5's around the table
I don't think Skyrim will be a unanimous goty. Uncharted 3, Gears 2, Batman AC, Battlefield 3, and Portal 2. I want to like Skyrim but I hated the combat in fallout 3 so I'm worried about the elder scrolls games and if I'll like them. Bioshock won every game of the show from e3 this year. It's on the level of me3 or es:s
There was no reason to use melee in Fallout 3. If he would have said Oblivion's combat, I could see his point but even then they are redoing the combat in Skyrim and say that it is a lot better than Oblivion's.
I responded about the combat thing earlier, I wonder why it didnt show up? Basically, I feel the combat in all of Todd Howard's games are slow and clunky. I feel that while it is a RPG that the combat should focus more on skill and less on dice rolling in the background of the game. VATS were cool for like a hour in Fallout 3, and then it got old. Combat basically depended on VATS in Fallout 3 because combat besides that was average at best. If you want me to talk specifically about Oblivion then I say the same issues arise. It's slow, doesn't feel responsive, and until the enemy goes down it doesn't actually feel like you're injuring him. If the combat in Skyrim is responsive like The Witcher 2 then I'll be interested. Basically, I want Skyrim to make the leap in combat that Mass Effect 2 took from the original. Just because the game is a RPG, doesn't mean the combat should be lacking. Yes, your skills should affect the strength of your attack, the range, etc but it shouldn't take multiple strikes to the head of a enemy with a sword at point blank range to take a dude down
If you go back and watch it again, the title of the movie actually says "Revenge of the Jedi", it took me a couple times through to make sure I saw it correctly. Alternate universe style, imo.
