I'm thinking Season 1 will end: (Spoilers from the books, pretty big plot points Spoiler with them finding the prison OR Spoiler with Shane getting murked by the kid
naw the black family had told Rick that they die and then after a few hours they comeback, I dont think it's instant
Just watched the extended sneak peak for next Sunday on amctv.com Spoiler Andrea won't let them take Aimee from her so you know Aimee is going to become a zombie and fuck someone else up, hopefully Andrea
I think the black father got killed too. Also, was I the only one who got the feeling Ed was a pederast when he asked his daughter to stay with him during the fish fry to keep him company?
I think in most zombie worlds, everyone reanimates. Which is why they have flesh/limbs missing when they roam around.
Depends on what zombie lore you go by. In any Romero movie or any movie affiliated with it anyone who dies, no matter what cause, reanimates. The mythology there is that basically hell is completely full so the soul returns to the body and everyone comes back to life whether they die of a heart attack, a gunshot wound or a bite and once reanimated must be put down again. Also in that scenario even if they died uninfected they can infect you once they turn. Pretty much the vast majority of zombie lore dictates that if you're bitten, even if you die first, turn at some point but it varies from thing to thing. Most movies have a quick reanimation process simply due to pacing concerns. I have seen some things(movies, books, etc) where some people are immune to the bite but that's much rarer in zombie mythology.
Yeah, that was a sketchy thing for him to say. I'm kind of wondering if he sexually abused the wife and the daughter.
He kinda looked like a grown up dumptime. Probably gave his daughter the good dumptime dick a few times.
Great episode. I didn't see the zombie attack coming at all. And I wonder where in the hell Merle is. Dude had the truck and didn't beat the others back to camp? Seems fishy ...
That pretty much was implied the last episode when either the cop who beat the shit out of him or the blonde girl(can't remember which one) said something to him calling him out which implied that they not only knew about the beatings but the other stuff as well.
Wonder if they have to execute the chubby Mexican guy who was using the baseball bat, think he just got bit on the shoulder and survived the attack.
Naw, I think that was somebody else. When I first saw it happen I thought it was him too, but then I rewound and I think it was just another guy that looked like him.
For a second the show lost me when the grandma interrupted the fight, but that scene saved itself. Little bit of a stretch in my eye's, but shit whatev. So someone alive from the group was bitten, ah. Im pretty sure it was the Latino guy. Did the watch guy survive?
I believe that no one is alive from the group that got bitten. I think there is just some confusion cause the one guy who got bitten looked like the main character latino guy with curly hair was also a latino guy with curly hair but he was in a dark colored shirt(brown maybe) whereas the main character latino guy was in a blue shirt. Also one second after the other latino guy getting bit they show the main character latino guy bashing a zombies skull so it definitely not him and just some minor character. All major characters survived I believe with the exception of the wife beater and the sister so watch guy is still fine.
Darrell is actually starting to grow on me, I like him a lot more than Meryl. Also Norman Reedus is a badass, Boondock Saints if you don't remember. Sorry if this has already been discussed.
Probably right that was confusing with everyone running around. I kind of wished he got bitten so they would have had the dilemma next episode of who and how they would execute him.
I like the show from an entertainment perspective but the writing is really bad. So they show how they have strung up all sorts of alarm systems like bells and shit all around the camp but amazingly these lurching zombies bend over and all that shit to get around that. They also have zero people on watch.
Definitely like Darrell. Every time I see him I think Boondock Saints and then he's using a fucking crossbow so it's just awesome all around.
Good point because I had kind of forgotten about that scene. in addition I find it odd that a crowd of like 20 zombies all stumbled upon them at once as well. I could understand a couple that were maybe wandering aimlessly(like the one eating the deer) and heard the noise or spotted the fire but why were that many walking around together in the first place. Also how do that many zombies sneak up on those mother fuckers like they're wraiths or something. In the middle of the fucking woods the shuffling steps and moaning would give them away before they were able to run up on everyone like that. Maybe they're just an elite zombie ninja recon team or something, who knows. As for the sentries I could see it being that they night sentries and assumed they wouldn't need them when everyone was awke, or maybe they did have some but the zombie ninjas snuck up on them and ate them.
Yeah a pack of like 15 zombies doesn't make its way through heavily wooded area without making noise. We had all these tense scenes in previous eps about twigs snapping then a horde comes through unnoticed. Just sloppy writing.
Shit got real at the end, liked tonight's episode, but I do agree about the sloppy writing at the end. Dump would be a solid addition to the writing staff of this show.
i just take it for face value, it's a zombie show i've always just taken zombie movies like that and enjoy them so much more that way
Yeah, I could definitely see Merle firebombing the camp with zombies. I doubt he'd do it with his brother still there though.
Guys, it's a fictional TV series about zombies. There WILL be some gray areas in the writing. Just sayin'.
