Well that was a huge goal

 

The high stick called was the original hit by Noesen when Kotkaniemi still had the puck. The whistle should’ve happened before the Goodrow hit.

Both were incredibly soft calls and nothing at all should’ve been called though

 

Whether it was before or after the whistle both Miller/Noesen should’ve went (or neither). Taking just one when the infractions were equivalent and simultaneous is egregious officiating. Either way, Rangers benefitted.

The Noesen penalty wasn’t post-whistle. His infraction happened during the play before the penalty that was called on the Rangers. So the Goodrow penalty technically shouldn’t have been called.

I have no beef with calling Miller after the whistle. That’s pure game management not getting him for retaliating.

Again, if you don’t call ticky tacky shit in the first place and let them play, this isn’t a discussion. And this coming from the fan of the team that needs special teams more so.
