Bibi is largely unpopular because he's corrupt, not because of his policies. Israel also has a tradition of PMs stepping down after attacks. As an honorable admission they failed the country. His refusal to do so is an added layer. While Bibi is a vile POS, we should expect a "Bibi without the baggage" type to replace him. Most likely a larger swing to the right and more aggressive Palestine policy.

Not really. Since the disintegration of the Labor Party all that's left are various shades of right wing and far right wing parties.
This and all countries shit to more nationalistic/aggressive policies after attacks like this. Likely the new person will need to make concessions to the extremist parties to form a coalition, rather than allowing the more moderate parties to have more of a say
This isn't just rhetoric (as much as the Biden Administration spox try to spin it), when they say things like "There are no uninvolved (civilians) there. You have to go in and kill and kill and kill... We have to kill them before they kill us" they mean it. They are quite openly calling for the mass murder of every man, woman, and child in Gaza (and the West Bank, because they're doing some really horrible things there too)
