Now I won’t be such a hater. And it really wouldn’t surprise me at all if the Avs win. Stars have more depth but always struggle with MacKinnon
I had us losing round 1. I'd love to see Nate backpack the boys to another W but I'm doubtful. Maybe Drouin's loin will magically heal faster.
I don’t understand why Av/Stars starts on Tuesday but Edmonton/Vancouver doesn’t start until Wednesday
The fact that he’s finally playing up to his ability in general is just a testament to Bednar and MacKinnon. He’s been so disappointing until landing with the Avs
When you win When you go to multiple game 7s and opposition goalkeeper saves everything while NY/Pitt blow you out and you leave the game early just to get heckled by their away fans and then have a lonely existence on metro ride home clearly never happened to me
I usually read the thread more than I post but if needed I’m sure I can locate my old Patrick Roy jersey I had in like 5th grade!
The Luxmore experience is over for the year. Keep an eye on Chris Rooney tonight. His last few Panthers games were extremely one-sided.
I like the panthers but there’s hardly been any phantom calls in any of their games I’ve watched. They get called for a lot of penalties but they usually deserve them
CF will talk about how bad game management refereeing is but then also complain if one team has more power plays than the other.
It's usually not about phantom calls when it comes to the panthers. It's more about how obvious penalties against the Panthers get game managed away while the refs find their whistle on the panthers infraction on the next shift. Rooney officiated b2b games for the panthers earlier this year and the disparity was like 12-2 in favor of the Panthers opponents. You will never find me saying power plays should be even. But you also rarely ever see a team play a perfect game of hockey where they didn't commit a single infraction. Hell, you rarely see games where a team only commits 1-2 infractions. Those are two different issues. If you have a tight whistle, it needs to be the same on both ends. Perfect example is the Tampa series. Panthers were dominating play at 5 on 5 by every metric. The vast majority of the time, the team that has the puck in the offensive zone draws more penalties. The exact opposite happened in the series against Tampa. It was a very oddly officiated series. It just didn't matter because the Panthers were much better.
Ottawa ownership isn’t serious about winning. In six seasons Green has finished better than 5th in his own division just once.
These times so are bad and they perfectly align with the exact times the mavs play. So tired of stressing until midnight watching games
Cups be damned, no one had it worse than Wings fans. Consistently starting playoff games at 10:30 EST was ridiculous.
I’m a little surprised Boston isn’t going with Ullmark tonight to keep him from getting too rusty if they need to go back to him at some point. I know Swayman is playing well but they’ve rotated all year and this is a tough turnaround for them after game 7 on Saturday.
