Excellent match outside of Cody kicking out of a burning hammer at 1 and Hulking up

Raw card for Monday is crazy, might even have me watching it. Better not turn any of these into some less than 5-minute bullshit though

That was one of many call backs to years past in the match. Burning hammer was a nod to both wrestlers time in Japan.

 

Ricochet - Ilja should be a great match

 

I think it would’ve been better if it was a near fall, hate that move got completely no sold. But that’s really the only complaint I have about that match or card in general.

 

Was expecting Uncle Howdy to debut after the end credits. Guess they will wait a little longer.

 

WWE cost Gable a chance at competing at the Olympics by waiting until now to cut him

 

Guessing he goes the MMA route if he’s ok with getting punched in the face

 

That’s quite a spin zone.

 

I mean the guy had to have some major issues (attitude or performance) for them to pull the plug on a major investment like that. He was the face of the whole NIL program.

Tanga Loa and House of Torture is like the equivalent of current day Chris Jericho for New Japan fans. At least for the western New Japan fans.

I didn't even know who the fuck he was when he debuted and its clear he's going to be a minor player in the storyline, but my goodness X is full of people (who claim to not watch wwe btw) making sure everyone knows he is awful

Add in the fact that WWE isn't really cutting or releasing talent. They tell talent 90 days prior to the original contract runs out that they don't intend to re-sign them.

So he was well aware that his deal with WWE would prevent him from being in the Olympics

That French crowd was amazing, but I hope it’s treated as a one off. American crowds trying to match it will quickly devolve into the old night after mania crowd. It’s was special because of the location. Trying to match it will quickly become cringe.

 

Something that can only be replicated by decades of starvation. WWE could have rolled out a five-match card where all the matches were of Uso vs. Uso or Adam Cole vs. Jericho shit-tier quality and the French crowd would have likely gone nuts for all of it.

US crowds are beyond spoiled.

 

Samoa Joe vs. Necro Butcher where Joe issues some receipts for Necro Butcher back in 2005 IWA Mid South is a brutal ass kicking handed out by Joe.
