Literally almost a brand new car. Rear wing is about the only thing that didn’t change per Sam Collins.
F! comments are wild, and so far without all of the offensive shit I normally see on primarily American social media: jonlamontagne 11 hours ago Adrian newey didn't design that much of the actual car and floor. He spent most of his research time on the suspension. In fact he was one of the only people to work on the suspension in Red Bull so that he could prevent the porpoising and other issues that most teams had at the beginning of this new era. He has not been a full-time employee working on the Arrow side for well over 5 years. There was a point where he wasn't even really at Red Bull he was working on the Oracle sailboat. I know that everybody wants to know you to go to Ferrari or somewhere and. I just think he might want to take some time off and do things that aren't F1. Which is probably the only team that could interest him would be Ferrari so we could work on the hypercar and he can work on streetcars. And then there's the Williams ending his career we started his career in F1. I just don't think he likes the hustle and bustle of the circus the traveling constantly and specially it's all over the world it's not like it's just within a 6-hour plane ride. It's in a double digits or there is multiple layovers to get you to your destination. You may just want to go design whatever he wants to design. I don't know that he has that love for F1 anymore and especially with the direction in which the new rules were going he was not it was not very happy about the direction they were going in. So when we find out in June or July with the new Rags are going to be in 2026 he may decide to just completely walk away if it becomes far too dependent on the power unit. GavClifton 1 day ago (edited) Thank Adrian Newey … his designs have only won 6 out of the past 20 years, so he’s not as amazing or responsible for Redbull currently winning as this vid makes out. As for win streaks Mercedes’ and Hamilton still hold those records in a car Newey didn’t design ️ and fyi I’m a Max fan. 1 @fk4410 1 day ago Mercedes was dominant because of their engine. Newey is not in the engine development. And 7 titles since 2010 is fucking great
Lando's lap on mediums was faster than Max's pole lap. Clearly they had no idea how the softs were working, but the pace is real.
The immediate step back from F1 to either start the clock or waive a non compete timeframe is the main indicator to me that he’ll stick around F1. Otherwise the man is already as rich as he needs to be and at his age I’d guess he’s over all the bullshit and schedule that goes into overseeing the entirety of a new car build. Funniest scenario is Ferrari promising Newey to Lewis then Newey just retiring instead. But for real now is a great time to pick up that book.
IF British "tying the knot" mean the same as our meaning the retirement may actually be true. At 61 he just "tied the knot" goes on to say he felt tired and wanted to spend time traveling (pretty wild considering how much traveling he has had to do)
Let me expand: Logan Sargeant is total and complete ass and it’s bad for the sport in almost every way, so they need a new face in there right now.
His family is also completely entangled in all the Trump Russia and Jan 6 stuff which makes it even better he sucks
McLaren brought a whole new car this weekend and Red Bull a new floor edge. Should see new Ferrari updates at Imola.
Going from 2AM races to afternoon races is quite the shock to the system. Can't wait until we're in Europe so I can watch quali and the race in the morning and still have the rest of the day.
Ferrari going to be in shambles when they replace their best driver with a warshed old man and Newey ghosts them.
