So spring portal window closes today, who would be on Josh Pate's 2024 Spring Portal Mt. Rushmore in terms of mind blowing?
I watched his show for awhile but he's so self congratulatory that I got to where I couldn't take him.
That's pretty shitty. Kid might suck, but gotta wonder how the NFL looks at him bashing his teammates. We heard a ton about Rattler having a bad rep bc of a documentary he did in HS
I dont consume a lot of Pate content. Dont really have an opinion on him. But I dont think it was such a wild call to say the portal would be crazy. The NCAA changing the rule to unlimited free transfers came after the last window closed. I would have assumed a lot more guys who stayed because they thought they'd have to sit out would have left. Apparently not
He’s also the opposite of a hot take artist. He never has any takes. Everyone is awesome. Every fanbase and staff are awesome. Every call a coach makes in game is right. The bulk of his fanbase is in the SEC, so he caters to that by telling the Bama fanbase their coaching staff upgraded after Saban retired.
I think he and Hayes were probably dm’d a ton of stuff, but then a lot of kids got paid to stay at their school
Coaches can only be let down by their schools. It is a shame what Baylor is doing to elite coach Dave Aranda.
Came over from Northwestern last summer. I don't think he saw a snap in 2023 and didn't appear to be on our two-deep heading into fall camp.
All Day Dre. If I remember he just showed up at our camp and wrecked everyone and got the offer. We have too many WR’s but I would have liked to keep him.
Talented kid who was pretty consistently in the dog house during his time here. If he gets his shit together he could be good
it's a roster almost entirely of transfers, a coach's kid for a QB, and a coach with zero developmental abilities, that's got to be the shittiest locker room in the country. you're never going to get everyone on the same page and playing for one another in that situation.
That's exactly the kind of statement an agent would put out when his client isn't receiving any significant interest from those conferences.
Tbf, every staff in the country treats their first-round quarterback and mid-round defensive captain different than they do regular roster guys. If they were both scrubs and got preferential treatment then you could say that. But that’s not the case. Neither of his sons have ever been arrested or caught driving recklessly and been allowed to stay on the team either. That would be preferential treatment.
