Yes, winning an NBA title is pretty easy. Do you even read what you post, or is it just stream of consciousness shitting all over your keyboard
Lebron has carried some pretty average coaches to the Finals. Which is why he’s the GOAT. And why Darvin Ham is so bad.
The man got Roy Hibbert to be considered one of the most valuable players in the league for a stretch in the early 2010s. Maybe let's calm down about not making any players better.
Both things can be true the Suns are a poorly constructed team and Vogel is an overrated coach and was a poor fit for this team its not this hard guys
IMO coaches are vastly overrated in the nba, really think once you reach an average level, they are pretty much roster dependent
A few are head and shoulders above the rest (e.g Pop, Spo) the vast majority are average and roster-makeup dependent, and a few are fucking dogshit. (e.g Ham)
I actually wholeheartedly disagree and think most of what we've seen over the years supports the opposite conclusion. See Jackson to Kerr, Doc to Nurse in Philly drastically improved them, Spo's consistency across multiple roster constructions, even the Bucks hiring Doc who is pretty average noticeably improved them. There are probably many other examples. Players are clearly most important but coaching meaningfully impacts the NBA.
Was it Doc that improved the Bucks or was it Dame? I’ll have to wait and see on Philly as thats a poorly constructed roster around an oft injured crybaby but it was good to see Maxey improve
I don't know how much input Vogel had directly in trading for Ibaka and signing Biyombo/Jeff Green but the moves were clearly made with his style in mind and his Orlando stint made Steve Clifford look like a genius in comparison. It's like calling Quin Snyder a defensive savant in Utah because Rudy Gobert is a one man wrecking crew, and then watching Atlanta do whatever it is they do when they don't have the ball anymore.
It seems like so many teams have shit local TV deals. I'm kind of surprised the league as a whole hasn't tried to fix it. For years you could only watch the Blazers if you had Comcast. When the contract ended, a different more widely-available channel put in a bid and Comcast said if the Blazers chose it, they would stop broadcasting that channel
Hawks are only on Bally and I have YTTV so I have streamed a truly sad amount of hawks games on my phone
It’s not lost on me that going into next year the Seattle Sounders will be much more available in Portland (regular old broadcast television) than the Blazers will be.
Nba coaches more than any other league have to manage egos and keep stars happy. To me, ty lue is one of the best at that. he doesnt let stars overrun him
This potatoe head mofo always goes off against Miami smh. Guy has single handed change the outcome of so many games between Boston and Miami over last 3 years
So weird that Boston won in 5, you would think the best coach in the history of the sport would have done better against the worst
Murray looks fine, possible fake injury scheme cooked up by the Porter brothers to move the point spread
It's a credit to Spo that he put that G-League ass roster in a position to get blown out 4 times in 5 games.
