VAR is bullshit. If the ref is looking right at the play and doesn't call a foul, then VAR shouldn't be trying to influence the decision. It's either incompetency by the on field official, OR corruption of VAR. I mean we are just a week ago from the on field official NOT seeing a clear handball and VAR not even telling him to take a second look. It's all corrupt
Despite expectations being nonexistent, I am hoping we can find some grit and pull it off today. I can't fucking stand losing to Spurs.
I mean what the hell is our starting 11 even going to be today? can’t believe I am gonna sit down and watch this shit again
back 4 I think has to be Alfie, Cucu, Bads, and Trev. Caicedo and Gallagher in pivot Jackson/palmer/madueke/mudryk up top is my guess
zak sturge is legit not good at football. was on loan at the posh for the first half of the season. he is maybe national league quality
If Madueke, Mudryk, or Jackson just had a better sense when to pass this year would be so much better
I had the game on the in the background today so didn't watch it all, but the Gallagher/Caicedo pivot has been getting shockingly good results lately.
Somehow we are only 3 points out of Europe and we have the easiest set of fixtures remaining between us, ManU, and Newcastle. I’m not sure what number gets us 6th though it gives the guys something to really play for.
Really need City to win the FA Cup because it seems likely if we get a Conference spot we are going to pass since getting UEFA-compliant isn't worth it for that.
Yes, 6th doesn't mean much if this doesn't happen, but City has to go into that fixture as huge favorites.
It sounds like Enzo’s injury was way worse than people thought which I hope plays into that. Caicedo really coming into his own the last few weeks though. I’d be shocked if they’re totally incompatible but putting Caicedo alongside another athletic mid and not having to worry about the corpse of Silva at the back has certainly improved things.
Really happy for CHO who appears to finally be healthy and possibly Forest to (possible) safety. Such a talent but it was really looking bleak there for a few years.
Our inability to maintain any kind of decent form has been brutal. Constantly two steps forward, two steps back.
It would be nice if we could maintain this form heading into the offseason. Regardless of how you feel about Poch, starting over with a new manager next season isn’t the answer.
Agreed. Not a huge Poch fan but the club needs consistency more than anything now. And ideally summer spend can be on plugging holes rather than completely remaking the roster. We also have so many players that will be back from injury in the fall
Cole, Noni, and Nico have been really effective the past two matches. Caicedo looks like a whole other person. Better not sell Conor either regardless of what people think. He loves the club and would die on the pitch for it. It also feels like he’s unlocked with Caicedo playing the way he has been of late. Just need to firm up the back some and run it back.
Not to antagonize but if Boehly can always go about 50/50 on flat fee + performance add-ons for transfers, that would really help balance the books since the transfers keep busting.
