OPS’ing .787 as a 21 year old is super impressive. seems to be a bit of bad luck (.215 babip) but the strikeouts need to come down (26.9%). he’s improved his barrel rate and some of the other quality of contact metrics the nerds love to cite. lots to like still.
Jackson Holliday, Corbin Carroll, Jordan Walker, Gavin Lux, and Spencer Torkelson all appear to be busts
David Sampson has confirmed this on a few occasions. Like for commissioner it was a very close vote, but once Manfred won, they held one last vote where everyone votes for Manfred and they can say it was unanimous.
He's out of baseball and doesn't care anymore. He's a complete blowhard, but he gives up the inside details
Bregman gets traded at the deadline right? Shit even Tucker might be. I think they have to go something like 83-43 rest of way to hit 90 games won
Nats have done a good job with one year flyers on bounce back guys for a few years now but Gallo is probably hopeless
It’s mostly a game of whiffs so I’m not upset/think they were reasonable gambles but he and Rosario are straight garbage
He’ll go on a hot streak for like 2 weeks where he hits 15 hrs and it’ll be worth the cheap flyer. Gallo that is
cheap LH power hitting bench bat that can play good defense at the corners and of is still valuable imo
I have no idea why they waited so long to call the Royals/Blue Jays game. Radars look awful, both teams leaving town and the royals play in <18 hours in Detroit
Have a massive battle this weekend in Mx City. 7-19 Astros battling the 7-19 Rockies. Looking forward to seeing what the over is going to be.
