Way too passive after going up 3-0 - did they even have more than a shot or two after the midpoint of the second period? - and the team is just too old and slow to compete. Don’t even get me started on all the terrible contracts handed out by Lou to a bunch of third line players over the years. Well deserved victory for the Canes. You can’t reward that type of cowardly play by the Isles.

3 things are true here 1) the Bruins aren't nearly as good as their point total indicated 2) the Leafs have been the better 5 on 5 team 3) It's the Leafs playing the Bruins so they absolutely should not feel very good about where they are at.

Yeah Forsberg needs to play better than he did on Sunday for us to get going. Lauzon and Carrier were tough to watch on Sunday after being pretty serviceable during the playoff push. They are probably going to continue to get abused in Vancouver. Hopefully Brunette can protect them a little once we come back to Nashville.

They’ve always been very inconsistent with that call. It should be pretty simple, did they close their hand or not
to me that play doesn't violate the spirit of the closing the hand on the puck rule. He caught it and immediately dropped it. Where that rule gets violated is when players either hold on to the puck for an extra second to wait for a defender to get out of the way or toss the puck into open ice to gain an advantage. Neither happened here. Good no call.
