Anybody in here fucked with Shilajit Resin? Buddy is hard selling it based on personal results the past month in our group text.
I've been playing around with NADH instead of caffeine and LDN for immunity stuff and have been feeling pretty good. Feeling pretty sharp mentally and no caffeine rush/crash on NADH
You can say that about 99% of supplements out there Just looking for more 1st hand reviews/experiences because every one so far has been "no way this is a placebo" and it's people I actually know after I asked a few friend groups. I'm going to try the resin version. Two guys I've known forever that don't tout bullshit said it was very similar to when they micro-dosed as far as focus and work motivation, but also said they ditched pre-workouts altogether since they started taking it.
I need to force myself to lift. I run and bike a lot but can’t make myself lift. I even have a garage gym, so I don’t have any excuse. Just can’t make myself do it.
I've been muscling through it lately, no pun intended. I've been forcing myself through it. There are ebbs and flows
I can't really run because of several knee surgeries, but try to get cardio in with surfing and some intense yoga classes. My cardio is a lot better in the summer when I'm hiking a ton. For past year or so I haven't really gone to the gym, just calisthenics workout and improvised home gym. Tons of pushup variations/dips/curling random shit. Usually sets of 15-25. I also travel with an ab wheel that is my favorite.
Lifting always been easier for me than cardio as well. I actually like shit like riding a bike as far as cardio but just never have/make time
For those that like lifting but hate cardio - I’m going to assume it is because you take the same mindset into each. In lifting, you are putting in max effort in short bursts, which isn’t what the vast majority of cardio should be. Cardio is fantastic when you go slow and long and your mind drifts into a state of bliss - one with your music or nature or your breathing.
Wow color me shocked that Andrew Huberman might be a scumbag https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/andrew-huberman-podcast-stanford-joe-rogan.html
I feel the same as you. I think I prefer cardio due to the immediate feeling of a successful workout / burning calories. struggle to motivate myself to lift as often as I should because it is a slower paced workout and is just a different level of exertion. Plus it is more of a guessing game than cardio. requires research, creating plans for targeting body parts, etc.
Listened to an interesting pod yesterday about inflammation (something I personally have, but it also contributes to a ton of other things like heart disease, Alzheimer's, cancers, etc.). They talked about fermented foods being a huge help. I knew that, but I didn't realize that their studies involved 6-7 daily servings. I usually just do 1-2 per day. Anyone have anything to add on good store bought items (rather buy to avoid fucking myself with a dirty jar)? Yogurt Kombucha Kefir/yakult Kimchi Sauerkraut Fermented pickles
Raw apple cider vinger (RACV) is fermented. Dilute it in water and chug it down first thing in the morning.
