Anyone got a rec for a good, quick glass company? Our front door succumbed to the inevitable teenager accidentally ramming his elbow into it. We're tempted to get a wood door, but that's really a little later style than our house (~1910). It's one pane, approx. 24" x 48".
Feel free to PM. Duct tape's got me OK for now, but I'd like to get rid of the masonite contrast pane as quickly as possible. I just don't know anyone, and will start calling in the AM, I guess.
My boss man told me today that he caught a small one trapped in a tidal pool on Dauphin Island with an old milk jug many years ago. He was a marine biologist and preserved it in a jar.
Anyone have a sprinkler system guy/recommendation? Last guy “winter-ized” mine and I can’t get him to come back and turn it back on.
Wouldn't it just need a pipe wrench somewhere? I have no idea what I'm talking about, but maybe ask in the homeowner thread to make sure it's not something DIY that'll take you five minutes.
I opened the valve, and the pressure was messed up…there’s a secondary cut off, the system has 4 different zones, it needs to be programmed, etc… I threatened to call someone else and he’s coming out tomorrow.
We need to get Wiley, I mean Stone Cold Steve Austin, to try and review all of these on camera for us.
For the edification of the non Braves Bham thread members, Stone Cold Steve Austin recently started a new gig as an on the field/stadium broadcaster with the Braves
I’d imagine the owner of a company that he voluntarily named Mr Sprinkles probably has several restraining orders
The company’s sticker was on my system when I bought my house, so I called him thinking they could handle it. Mr. Sprinkles could not. Asked the guy who sold me the house about Mr. Sprinkles and he laughed at me and said why did you call that guy.

My attempts to reach [email protected] have been unsuccessful. I have found a Mr. Sparky online who services the Bham area, but after my experience with Mr. Sprinkles for my sprinkler system, I’m skeptical.
Recently opened Hilltop Liquor in Irondale has a pretty strong bourbon selection if anyone is in the market.
