Eat a Peach and a bottle of shitty south american red wine kept me tethered to the surface of planet earth one night (I had just graduated from college and this completely blown out hippy shows up at a bar I was getting loaded at with a paper grocery bag full of magic mushrooms - of which I ate a very very stupid quantity). So thanks to Dickey and boys for keeping me safely grounded here on terra firma. RIP

 

I've seen them live more than any other band. I've got so much love for his music and guitar. One of the best.

 

Always been one of my all-time faves, even made the front page of my CD case collage that I pulled from my guitar mags as a kid. RIP

Sucks so damn bad Dickey and Duane only got to play together for like a couple years. The fact they were in the same band is insane.

 

Looks like the other two are Billy Jean King and the older brother from Hanson.

 

When my middle daughter gets married, we will inevitably dance to this song for the father / daughter.

think this is the show that Owsley dosed the ABB with a squirt gun and Kreutzmann had to sit in for Butch Trucks who was simply too loaded to play

 

Dickey gave me a setlist from a Great Southern show circa 2002. Decent chance it’s still stuffed in a drawer in my room at my mom’s house.
