BBM just doesn’t do it somehow. Other than that, though, Son was poor and panicky with no holdup skill, and VdV’s mistakes have been well covered by now. Porto’s stupid back pass. These are all first names on the team sheet.
I don't blame him but it was obvious after 15 minutes that we should have gone with Deki in particular. Without Richarlison in the lineup, we do need some physical presence to hold up the ball in deep areas. i think he was just thinking we may run around them, but they pressed us the best I have ever seen.
Is it ok if maybe once we try to wear our away kit rather than this taupe garbage? that being said, we could have been wearing mithril-infused kits of stunning glory the likes of which have never been seen and it would still have looked like complete shit on that pitch with our performance.
Stupid to keep starting Bissouma. He's been poor for a stretch of games now and he was dogshit today. Richarlison is injured, but I think the squad is best when there's an actual striker on the pitch, Son attacking from a wider position. As you say, and as I've said before, the lack of any sort of holdup player is a problem against physical teams, and the combination of soft play and bad passing is a recipe for getting smoked, particularly on the road. On another note, Udogie's lack of physicality is glaring. He gets pushed off the ball when we're stretched, and that can't happen, and he's a major liability trying to defend corners - he got absolutely bossed on corners today. It's a real problem if he can't fix that part of his game.
I am not sure I agree with that last part about Udogie. i think he is very physical. My bigger issue with him lately has been poor passing.
when he's attacking the box, sure. He doesn't get the opportunity enough to be honest because we get dispossessed before he starts his run. He's a major liability on corners (watch how many times clubs attack him on corners) and trying to defend in space. He needs to improve (he's young, so he can, obviously). Brooks gets it, though I'm not sure about Betancur as our only defensive mid
I’m fine with a bland home kit. Some yellow highlights would’ve been nice, but otherwise I’ve got no issues with it. The 2015-16 sash kit will always be the goat though.
I'm a big fan of the plain/bland home kits. I don't think it should change much year to year. Use the away and third kits to mix things up every year.
Agreed. Mix it up with cool little twists on a classic. I don’t buy a new kit every season so when I do decide to grab a home I’d like that classic look.
I think for some reason many fans just want the AIA logo to be blue and if that was changed it would be considered epic no matter what. Not sure I agree or care.
I don't like any of those. The bland home whites are iconic and part of the brand - these are ok, I guess. The other 2... meh
Honestly? Good. One of us will earn it, the other will have a perfectly adequate time in a more winnable Europa League. Tottenham proved this season that they don’t have the depth to hang with more than one comp, so expecting another miraculous summer window to shore up all our depth problems to compete with the best of Europe? Sounds fanciful.
Will I be happy to get in CL should it happen? Of course. I still would like to be more focused on the league and FA Cup rather than the height of Europe just yet. We’ll win the quad in 25/26.
fuck that, always want CL, even if you splash out of the group. Huge amount of money at stake. Anyway, I don't think we're good enough to finish 4th, so best hope we hold onto 5th at this point.
Udogie out for season, about 3 months total (taking him out of Euro contention for Italy). Had some kind of surgery and posted on IG. Good thing we have such an easy run in.
I do like a non-red AIA. I don’t quite like the pattern, it reminds me of the Juve kit that looked like someone ran over them and left tire tread marks.
I really don’t follow the leaked kits anymore. Used to do it when I was young but it’s lost its luster. Maybe that’s me, maybe that’s Tottenham.
Arsenal attacking a corner: bully the keeper HARD Arsenal defending a corner: oh my, I have been waylaid, my feet can’t hold up my weak little body
Meh, we are honestly doing fine. Davies is getting enough help for their one and only attacking threat in Saka. We’re holding our own and a lion’s share of possession. Don’t concede a second, keep the gas down.
