Dom vs. Canucks fans this year has been a hell of a twitter saga. Summary: -He does a player "tier" ranking every year at the start of the season that's based on a 50/50 split of his model + opinions of NHL scouts. -Quinn Hughes was in tier 3. His model loved Quinn; had him rated as one of the best players in the league. Scouts' opinions were lower on him. not really but all of those guys are jfresh is too. Think it comes with any sport and advanced stats guys. They always think they’re smarter than the average fan, which they are usually, but they will let you know any chance they get
My issue with Dom is when someone outperforms his models and it's pointed out to him, he gets really pissy and defensive. Theres also a hubris where it couldnt be possible he's just missing something
