Holding out for the dream of Sainz to RB and that entire team just implodes from the sheer amount of spite.
It boils down to can Red Bull upgrade the Perez seat and right now the options of drivers that could be an upgrade are shrinking rapidly. I still don't believe Sainz is an option for that seat because of his history with the Verstappens. And the rumors that Sainz wants a 3 year deal means the Mercedes seat is less likely (they ideally only want him for two years and to put Antonelli at Williams) So I think Sainz is Audi is the most likely because they will give him a long term deal at big money and he can have the team built around him
A lot of the supposed fire under Checo was coming from Riccardo's potential, which has cooled down significantly thus far this season.
If Alonso had the chance at the Red Bull 2nd seat, why would you not choose that even if you have to race Max. Would it not be better to be 2nd overall instead of 7-10 overall? Get a couple wins a year instead of 0. Feels like that doesn't add up.
Ocon and Gasly are def running away from alpine. Still think yuki goes to Aston assuming stroll kicks his son out. could see ricciardo sticking w RB another season or maybe he retires. Still think he will get it together this season.
That's a great question, not really sure. I think it's still likely it's a Yuki/Lawson pairing next season
Yea I get that, but man if you had the chance at one more WDC in the best car available, I feel like you would have to take it even if that chance is like 5-10%. Better than 0% with Aston Martin. Unsure on the Honda motors thing. I don't know enough about this stuff, so entirely me just speculating and providing a casual viewers opinion on things.
feels odd that audi would want hulkenberg for the second seat? he's not bad but just old at this point and outside of bringing in german fans to a german team i don't see much upside.
I think that's it, German for a German team, he's cheap. He's not gonna drag you down and let's you throw big money at the #1 driver.
He seems to be able to get the most out of the Haas, I'm sure they're mindset is give him a better car and he'll consistently give good results
I don’t see Ric staying at RB. That team is meant for young drivers and they’ll want to get back to that. Maybe if Yuki leaves next year he’ll have a spot.
Well this ruined my plans for a Dodgers/Cubs + Suzuka week but it's much better for my schedule so I'll take it
I didn’t realize yesterday that it was an off week. I was so desperate for some zoom zooms that I watched a Moto GP. God damn that’s frightening stuff with absurd skill levels.
And finally the end of these early morning races. I don't think my body could take another 1AM-3AM race after this one.
