I drove to my parents’ place last night (took almost 2 hours longer than usual) with the intention to go Tuscaloosa this morning. But I woke up too exhausted after having a long week for another long day with 4 hours round trip plus the time in Tuscaloosa. Guess I will just have to settle on getting to watch both ADay and moving day at Augusta on tv with my dad instead of seeing dead grass in person.

I’ll admit it didn’t help me feel motivated when I woke up exhausted, but it’s more that at 38 I didn’t want to be exhausted for the next week just to say I was there. And to clarify, my wariness was really about the idea that it was being thought of as not much more than a 15th practice and the fear of the unknown scoring system for the defense proving to be a little wonky. I know I didn’t state that as clearly as I could have with how I said it.
