Buy the Prime packets and mix it. Bottles are way too sweet and like was said you have to water it down some.
Also, I had zero belief that Darby was climbing Everest. The timeline lined up with Stings retirement and his body has took a beating for four years straight. He needed a break.
the hold that Prime has over elementary school aged boys is ungodly. My nephews have a cult like devotion to it
Was at a restaurant and Rampage was on one of the TVs. I wasn’t paying attention to everything but it seemed they were even moving storylines along on that show, not just an AEW Dark type shit. Looks like Thunder Rosa will be next for Toni. Which is good because hey let’s build out our 3 biggest women stars in Mercedes, Toni, and Britt before they inevitably clash.
So that new South Park episode is accurate then? Im going to ask my nephew today. Good branding, man. Its all it takes
I'm just dreaming of the pop of Rock turning on Roman in the final minutes of the main event of night 2 and Cody subsequently winning the title. Only downside to having the night 1 match is that if Cody and Seth won, Cody most definitely isn't winning night 2 and it would be because of the same bs outside interference as last year.
If true, they should shitcan Booker for trying to go in to business for himself. NXT sources were skeptical about Booker T’s claim that he and CM Punk almost had a backstage altercation at this week’s taping. The sources weren’t aware of any confrontation taking place, security wasn’t aware of a confrontation, and there was no talk of a backstage incident between Punk and Booker T. The people that Fightful spoke to were frustrated about Booker T making this claim about Punk, especially “given Punk’s history with backstage altercations.” It was reiterated that CM has not had any backstage issues since he returned to WWE. He has generally been helpful behind the scenes and was in good spirits this week at NXT.
Bayley got messed up on that closing moonsault... hope she's good I'm guessing we are building to Bianca and Naomi for the tag title match at Mania
Pretty creative from Austin... I love when Orton does shit that pop's himself. Kross had a great promo last week and he just followed it up with this... They need to carve a few minutes on TV to air these.
They have been doing a solid little B/C level story revolving around Ruby abandoning Saraya and the Outcasts, pretty much has been a Rampage exclusive. The type of story isn't really my kind of thing, but I admit it's been at least well executed. I'm assuming the inevitable conclusion is a mixed tag match of Saraya and Zak Knight (Saraya's brother) vs. Ruby and Angelo Parker.
I don't get TK just punting Rampage like that. I know it's not a good time slot historically speaking, but there are 2 million people watching wrestling at 9:59 and he never attempted to get any of them to turn the channel. It's WCW Worldwide status.
Nothing, anyone that watches WWE probably already gave AEW a shot and either has stuck around or moved on. If AEW wants to attract WWE viewers they need a character/Storyline to catch fire and that’s not the priority for TK.
I mean the ship probably sailed, but I would have given it a go from the start by placing the hottest current angle involving an ex WWE talent in the opening segment. Just seems like they never tried on that show. Maybe didn't want to be perceived as piggy backing.
If you're largely tuning in to watch whatever for everything but the in-ring stuff (which is a lot of them), chances are you're not going to be watching AEW rather it be Dynamite, Rampage, or Collision. And Rampage is typically the heaviest reliant on in-ring. AEW tried to do some of that WWE-style sports entertainment stuff with MJF last year and it largely did not work at all. In fact, you can argue it had a net negative effect for AEW because it drove off fans. People hated it, ticket sales have cratered, ratings have declined/stay stagnant despite the improvement of the weekly product since, etc. People didn't start watching AEW because they wanted WWE stuff.
people in this thread were largely positive about MJF and Cole and his babyface run and calling him a genius for getting big crowd reactions for the double clothesline/kangaroo kick etc so that all feels revisionist. The tone in this thread was not a negative one at the time
And within like a month it all went to shit and stayed that way for the rest of the year with MJF. Ending with the stupid Devil stuff, a terrible Full Gear main event, and the worst ever AEW PPV in Worlds End.
And that execution was WWE-style sports entertainment. Like I said, people don't watch AEW for WWE-style sports entertainment. That's what WWE is for.
Aew is kind of stuck where it is imo. Which isn't bad. There seem to be about 800ish thousand people into that kind of wrestling that will watch it every week. Trying to go wwe style may draw some wwe fans, but it alienates those 800k who kind of pride themselves on liking the "the alternative". You also aren't going to out wwe the wwe. I think there is a sweet spot where they work in some bigger names and storylines that can get them near a million like when Punk was there, but obviously that caused a lot of damage too to the locker room and style clashes
I think there’s more crossover fans than people like to acknowledge. Every time there’s a WWE PLE during Collision, the ratings absolutely nosedive. The “Fed bad” crowd just happens to be the most vocal online so it makes that segment of their audience seem bigger than it is.
Is Collision going up against Night 1 of Mania? Interesting to see what they cook up for that one. Strictly for the sickos.
TIL: Cody and McIntyre once held tag team titles together back in 2010, a fact often overlooked by many wrestling enthusiasts. Also, is Prime owned or endorsed by Neon Deion Sanders?
