Knect definitely won this game. Gamecocks had opportunities in the first half to switch the momentum, and every time he answered with that catch and shoot 3. That 16-5 run was brutal.
This surprised me: Gamecocks out shot, out rebounded, and made more 3s than UT. Just lost the free throw battle. Not complaining about refs either. I don’t think the Gamecocks even attempted a free throw in the first half because of the style of play. Also we still suck but at least we are slightly entertaining to watch at times. Really sucks that Khalif Battle didn’t play defense or couldn’t do so without fouling for most of the year, because he could have had a special season. There’s some chatter he may come back for his final year. He’s scored 141 points in his last 4 games (35.5 ppg) which is some silly shit. Would like to see these guys win a couple in the SEC tourney just to build on after such a disastrous season.
